Alex is freelance storyteller/artist/illustrator based near Swindon, available for work across the uk and beyond.
As an illustrator he has over 50 books published and can often be found up in his loft studio creating work in a myriad of media from watercolour and pencil to iPad and ‘Procreate’.

Finding Alex was a dream! I had just completed writing a selection of children's stories and had been trying to get published. I then stumbled across Alex online (through Bark) and immediately liked his style. Alex agreed to meet and we discussed all of my stories before we both agreed on one that would be fun to collaborate on. He was on point straight away. Within a week, he had painted all of my characters for My Teachers are Animals and just got them so right! We then met once more to discuss the whole story and each illustration. What do you love most about your job?
I love creating something new, I really enjoy the process of illustrating - bringing stories and ideas for life, and trying new things.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always drawn since before I could write! People have always enjoyed my pictures and I often had comments that I should do it professionally and so I've finally taken everyone's advice! I started doing commissions a few years ago, initially for friends and people I knew, they were really popular, so I started to exhibit and set up a website, since then my business has grown and grown
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a good communicator, listening carefully to what a customer wants - I'm always happy to share the progress on a project and more than willing to listen to ideas and constructive comments. I'm flexible on pricing depending on how big the project and I like to involve my client throughout the process . I have a very vivid imagination and produce high quality work.
