Online Violin Lessons UK

Dear Student, My aim as a violin tutor is to provide you with an inspiring and enjoyable learning experience online. As part of this, I can offer you ongoing support and advice with practice and purchasing equipment. I will aim to provide you with constructive feedback in all my lessons with the aim of encouraging you to have ‘a can do’ attitude towards your learning, as I believe this will be your key to success! - Maybe you are a beginner that would simply like to learn how to play the violin as well as learn to read music? - Perhaps you are already playing and would like to focus on technique with your chosen pieces? - Or maybe you are wanting to progress through the classical grading system? …Well all of these are possible! and I will help you achieve your goals :) If you are a beginner, I will teach you how to position the violin and hold the bow correctly and provide you with some exercises that will demonstrate a good bowing arm technique to help you produce a steady sound. You will learn how to develop the skills of timing and rhythmical understanding to improve your sight reading. My aim is to have you reading music more efficiently with my tried and tested methods, but at a pace that suits you. I do follow various well known publications as seen in the grading programmes but I am also able to offer a dynamic approach to my teaching too. I like to introduce new and alternative pieces, from a variety of genres that will spark your interest and offer you a new musical experience. ***As part of my lessons I will include personalised videos and audios to help to you stay on track with your practice, my videos can include duets and short play along parts. My students love these and it allows them to have that extra bit of support in between lessons*** I have 100% pass rate taking students through classical exam grades ABRSM and Trinity syllabus. I also help students that want a less formal approach, I can teach a variety of genres such as, Folk/Rock, Blues,/Eastern European and Klezmer and a bit of Jazz and Pop too! ***My aim is to allow my students to pick up the necessary skills as soon as possible so they can go on to develop their own individuality and discover their own repertoires as future violinists. If you require any further information, or you would like to book your first lesson, please feel free to message me on here and I will be happy to hear from you, best wishes :) **Please note, I offer online lessons not face to face. My fees for 45min lessons £28 and for 30min lessons £20. **All lessons can be supplemented with personalised audio/video to help you stay on track with your practice! If you would like to book a trial lesson please ask!

What do you love most about your job?

Teaching students how to read, introducing new genres and watching them grow into independent players.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Working with children in schools both as a performer in story-telling workshops and working as a teaching assistant in music classes.
I wanted to make violin lessons accessible in my local area to a diverse audience.
Online tuition has become very successful now and I am able to share my skills nationally with students.

Why should our clients choose you?

I care about my work. I love my job and I let that show in my classes. I aim to inspire all my students to achieve their own potential and to help them meet their targets. My classes are supportive and I encourage a relaxed and focused approach.

My aim is to be accessible and my students know they can ask questions and request advice anytime. I like to offer personalised violin recordings and voice explanations via Skype, which my students love because it allows them to understand and practice effectively, develop well and look forward to their lessons each week.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes my classes are conducted online via Skype my id is Sarah Violin UK. I use whatsapp to send information relating to the music being taught during lessons.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I am online but if I was to do a face to face lesson I would ask all students to wear a masks and sanitize hands.

Ive only had charles as a vocal teacher for a month and a half, but already I’m seeing a huge improvement! My vocal range and the strength of my voice has increased, and I’ve started to sing more complicated songs. As a teacher Charles is super enthusiastic, but what really shines is how much effort he puts into me as a student and how much he cares about my progression. So glad to be working with charles and looking forward to many more lessons!
