The RedCat Partnership at No8 Thorpe Road
No8 Thorpe Road offers professional quirky office space, opposite the Railway Station in NR1. We have five meeting rooms/ training rooms to hire out - they are kitted out to high specification, with smart boards and writing walls.
We offer a bespoke service to meet your needs, with a dedicated onsite team.
We can also offer on site catering and parking, plus super wifi, we are VOIP ready.
Sarah and her team are extremely helpful. No 8 is an excellent venue to hold an event, we usually have around 15-20 attendees cabaret style and the room we use is perfect for that. There is a separate room next door for teas/coffees (more choices than you can imagine!) and where the food is served - the breakfast bacon rolls from Archers are worth it alone! Nothing was so too much trouble and the room is kitted out with everything you need. The location is perfect, right opposite Norwich train station.
Norwich Puppet Theatre
Norwich Puppet Theatre is an excellent introduction to the magic of theatre with original shows, activities, workshops and masterclasses for all ages.
Situated inside a converted medieval church, the Theatre is one of only three building-based puppet theatres in England. Home to a family of puppets spanning over 30 years, we produce new shows for families and children which play in Norwich before touring the UK and internationally.
Great play in a rambling old church, we saw A Mermaids Tail and the kids were wrapt. A one woman play, she did acting, puppets and shadow puppets - amazing.
Traditionally over the last 40+ years Bedfords has been the place to drink & chat in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Today it’s no different, well apart from the complete re-fit conducted by the owner, Glen Carr and his son Jonathan Carr, the General Manager.
Along with their dedicated, professional and hard working team of staff they have achieved great success over the last 6 years and continue to improve and grow the ever-popular bar.
What an amazing place with amazing staff! My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Old Rectory Hotel on 26th May this year and it was more than we could ever have expected. Right from the very first time we set foot in this hotel while looking for venues, we knew this place was the one. Ian and Becky made it feel like we were coming home each time we went to visit in the lead up to the wedding and were the most helpful and friendly people I’ve ever met! On the wedding day all the staff made us feel like royalty and nothing was ever too much to ask! The food was absolutely to die for and the bedrooms are just gorgeous! Especially the bridal suite! The rooms were a lot bigger than I had imagined also. The resident dj was amazing too! I already miss being at The Old Rectory so much and will definitely return to stay again one day soon. Thank you all SO much for making our wedding an absolute dream come true! Xxx
