When it came to choosing a wedding venue, neither of us had been married before, so the process felt quite daunting. We visited several venues, but many had a hire fee and required us to use their catering company, often with expensive minimum spend requirements. From the moment we met Richard at The Red Barn, our minds were put at ease. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but it also offers a level of freedom and flexibility that was hard to find elsewhere. The family who own and run it were incredibly accommodating from start to finish. You can truly tell it’s a family-owned venue because of the pride, care, and attention they put into everything they do. Richard and the family are so hands-on, and nothing was ever too much trouble. From phone calls, emails, and meetings to suggesting things we hadn’t even thought of, they supported us every step of the way. On the wedding day itself, they went above and beyond — helping me put my veil in, hyping up our guests before announcing us into the reception, and even checking in the following day to make sure we were happy and okay. Throughout the wedding planning process, people often commented on how calm I seemed as a bride, and that’s because I knew we were in excellent hands. I cannot recommend The Red Barn highly enough. This venue truly saved the day for my brother’s wedding. After we experienced a very disappointing last minute cancellation at another nearby venue, the team here stepped in and managed to pull together an incredible celebration on such short notice. Thanks to their professionalism and flexibility, what could have been a disaster turned into a perfect day that none of us will forget. The venue itself is a great size, spacious enough for all our guests to feel comfortable yet still intimate and full of charm. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Every detail, from the setup to the timing and coordination, was handled beautifully. The location is lovely as well, offering a wonderful setting for both the ceremony and the reception. Looking back, it is hard to believe how seamlessly everything came together given the circumstances. Without this venue and its amazing staff, the wedding simply would not have happened. I could not recommend them more highly for anyone looking for a reliable, beautiful, and well run venue. More...

My best friend and her family hired the Red Barn for their gorgeous Mum’s Memorial Service. We did the catering in their kitchen and Richard and his family could not have been more accommodating, helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend.

My wife and I fell in love with the Red Barn from our first visit, making it such an easy choice for it to be our wedding venue. It has such a rustic charm that it’s hard to describe unless you experience it for yourself, we loved it, and all our guests were all wowed by the place too.You can tell that Richard really loves what he does and is very friendly, professional and invested in making it a special day for you. From when we booked to when we had the wedding, we could easily ask questions and Richard would soon answer or help to co-ordinate, for example with the caterers and the band we hired.We were also given lots of contact details for local suppliers they trust which also reduced a lot of searching and worrying if a company would be ok.On our wedding day, Richard and his family / team were on hand the whole time to make sure we had such a smooth running day and an incredible wedding to remember.I cannot recommend Richard and the Red Barn enough. Could not recommend the red barn or the family who run it more. Richard kept in regular contact and was so accommodating throughout. We like many couples we’re stuck in covid times and he could not have been more helpful finding new potential dates for us! We fell in love from the first viewing even in the rain! The barn is beautiful and allows for your own style to be put on the whole place, the new addition to the side to replace the marquee is such a bright, light space housing the bar but still retains the same charm. We got married at the Red barn on 4th June and what can I say. I got my magical wedding day with the help of Richard, Jo and the team. I fell in love with the barn when we went for our first viewing. And from that day all the way up to the actual wedding day Richard made it easy (even when I had a wobble the day before) It needs very little extra decor as it's simply stunning on its own merit. I'm struggling to find the words to review this place. From the moment we walked into the barn we knew we had found the place we were going to be married. Richard, Lillian and all of the team have been truly fantastic. Right from the moment we booked, to when we postponed our day, to the actual wedding weekend itself. Nothing was too much trouble. Any questions we had were answered, any worries we had were eased. Everything was beautiful. The way Richard and his team work with the outside vendors is brilliant. You can really tell they all get along and love what they do. The barn itself, well its stunning. We opted to hire in drapes and trees from local vendors and I'm so glad we did. The barn had such a warm, loving feeling on our day and I looked at the photos and I fall in love with the venue all over again. The extension is beautiful and is a stunning mix of both new and old parts to the venue. It all ties in beautifully. I can't think of a better place to get married. We got married at red barn on 22nd April and it was the most perfect venue!!! Richard and the team were brilliant at helping us organise the day, always willing to open up the barn for us to look around in the lead up and by recommending other fantastic suppliers so I didn't have to worry about anything there. They also helped everything to go smoothly on the day, if things were going off track Richard for out the gavel and put things back to how they should be haha. It meant my husband and I could just relax and enjoy! As well as the device we got, the red barn is simply beautiful. We had some help decorating from another supplier - Dottie events - but you really didn't need anything. It's stunning exactly as it is. But likewise it's a great blank canvas and I think you could do almost anything to it and it would still look fab. Thanks Richard and the team!!! It was an amazing day. More...
