‘19 Certificate of Excellence

I am an holistic health practitioner and teacher, supporting personal growth, good health and wellbeing. With over 20 years of experience, I am passionate about working with individuals and groups to build confidence, promote self-esteem and good physical, mental and emotional health, thus enabling people to make the best choices for themselves, as they take the journey back to being the best that they can be. Working with individuals; After an in - depth consultation, I use vibrational flower essences to positively address the emotional state of the individual. They work on the 'life energy' of a person and are a great support for when you may be feeling stressed, sad, worried or adjusting to difficult changes in your life. When you feel safe, loved and secure, your essential 'life energy' flows freely throughout your body, flooding you with joyful energy at the deepest cellular level of your being. This releases feel-good hormones along the way, enabling you to relax, be creative and enjoy life. When you're anxious, depressed or fearful, your energy flow becomes restricted or blocked. The effect of this can cause poor emotional and mental health, which may then spiral down into physical illness, preventing you from enjoying life to the full. Flower and vibrational essences work by alleviating negative emotions that may block the natural flow of energy throughout the physical body. This supports a more positive outlook and experience to emerge, as balance and harmony is restored to your body, mind and spirit. "They cure not by attacking dis-ease, but by flooding our bodies with beautiful vibrations of our higher nature, in the presence of which, dis - ease melts as snow in the sunshine." Dr. Edward Bach, creator of the Bach Flower remedies Working with groups; As a qualified teacher of 'Art & Craft' and Louise Hay 'You Can Heal Your Life' workshops, I use positive, affirmative techniques along with craft based projects to increase confidence and self-esteem, leading to better emotional and mental health.

What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to help people get back on track towards good health, sharing tools, techniques and remedies that are easy to use and very empowering. Whether it's working one to one with someone, or in a group setting, showing people how to take positive steps forward and then seeing the great results, it's all very rewarding for me.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Medical science estimates that upwards of 90% of disease is stress related, and can now prove that the chemistry within our cells and genes is affected by our thoughts, beliefs, and responses to stress, confirming that how we feel can actually change our emotional and physical body. This has enormous implications for our health.

At various times in my own life, I have had to face very difficult challenges. Twenty five years ago, I came upon flower essences and was amazed at the level of support they gave, and how quickly my state of being could change from distress to joy.

This was a real 'lightbulb' moment for me - one that inspired me to train in Flower Essence Therapy and in teaching, so that I could share my knowledge with others and help them to understand how they too could improve their own health and wellbeing.

Life is full of challenges. Depending on whether we choose to see them as opportunities for personal growth and understanding, or to see ourselves as a helpless 'victim' plays an enormous part in how we recover our good health. It became clear to me that if I could respond to stress in a more balanced, positive way, I would 'recover' much more quickly. Flower Essence Therapy supports that process beautifully.

Why should our clients choose you?

We live in a fast paced world and face challenging times. Much is expected of us with regards to our relationships, our work life and our home life. Getting the balance right and finding time for one's self isn't always easy and can lead to distress on many levels.

I work with clients in such a way as to support and empower them to make the changes needed to get their lives back into balance, and they are in control every step of the way.
As I combine positive 'coaching' techniques with Flower Essence Therapy, this brings an opportunity to create better health not just in the short term, but in the long term also. This form of therapy can be used alongside any other therapy, and essences can be safely used with other medication.
It is completely natural and suitable for adults and children alike.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
