I got made redundant from my job working alongside Social Services in 2011 and after an alien year visiting a job centre which stressed me out, I decided that with the transferable skills I have gained over the years, that I had nothing to lose and took up a scheme they were offering to help people go self employed in 2012. It has been hard work and continues to be, but I am doing something I love and it helps other people, so it is all for the greater good.
I have huge amounts of experience with all ages, cultures, religions of people from around the globe. I am compassionate, empathic and down to earth. I tune in with my clients, sometimes before they have even arrived and have an innate sense of what they need. I massage at festivals in the summer and have many clients wishing I lived in their area so they could come to see me regularly. My hands just seem to know where to go on problem areas... often shoulders and neck or lower back. Whilst being empathic and so on, I also like to bring humour into my work as laughter is a fantastic medicine. I have treated a lady with kidney stones (and who was in excrutiating and sustained pain from them) twice and since the last treatment she has been pain free... that was about 5 weeks ago.
