What a great place..! So much to do with all your family of all ages, wet or dry, really enjoyed the other day walking around the craft village (our kids really enjoyed the soft play area in the middle. Love the Lego Exhibition over 3 levels, amazing and with the its working fairground, moving trains, all snow covered as they have the Christmas theme in until after the New Year. The Butterfly house's are great, so much to see.. fish love their food lol. So much to see and feed in the Farm too (loads of animals), amazing all around.. and a walk way through to a Garden centre, Also a Pet place on site, which is cool as our Guinea Pigs won't eat any other food sold else where..! Had a really Great day there, ran out of time...!x

We went to Simon Ward for a family photoshoot to mark our 40th wedding anniversary. There were 15 of us, plus a son-in-law who had to have his taken at a later date and edited into the main family group. Simon was fantastic - he welcomed us with a cup of tea, set the 7 grandchildren at ease, took the photos professionally and made sure we were satisfied with the results. Understanding the light and how it accentuates the subject to bring out the best features possible. Simple lighting can often be the most effective but there will be occasions where complex lighting will be required to truly enhance certain features of the subject.
To be of best service to them, I really need to understand what it is they wish to achieve; for that reason a full brief from a creative director or an in depth conversation with the client prior to agreeing the project will be extremely important. The same is true for personal clients - it may be they require relaxed and informal images that bring out the fun or the need could be for a more formal image, or maybe even combining the two styles. Whatever it is, we try to get under the skin of the client to really put them first whilst at the same time advising them against an obvious faux pas.
I love to meet people and help them to achieve their aims whether that be supporting businesses or helping to create great memories for families. It also offers me a huge amount of flexibility which greatly helps with my own family life.
After 30 years working in the public sector and being answerable to the daily grind of shift work and being at the behest of a large organisation, I felt the need to break free and step out on my own. To try and create something from nothing (other than my experience as a hobbyist) and to leave some form of lasting legacy for my young children to be really proud of when they're older. I also wanted to have the flexibility to fit the business around family life rather than being forced to fit family time in between work requirements; it's challenging but rewarding!
