What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Having a good subject, in a setting that tells a tale. While plain photographs work in certain situations like your passport I think it is more important to capture some expression, some soul in the picture.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
In the world of Instagram we all know about filters, so the question for my subject concentrate on who they are and what they like about themselves.
What do you love most about your job?
I adore capturing emotions, a groom first sight of his bride, the adoration that a toddler has for a grandfather or the confidence to perform or parade.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Twenty years after discovering photography I realised I had about 20,000 images of different expressions. And as I have a high functioning form or autism (aka super nerd) I realised I was cataloguing what I was not naturally seeing. So now I work harder to see the feelings, to engage with my subjects and to stretch myself out of my own comfort zones.

In theory yes, but really?!! The world needs people in it, and people in it to capture the world.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
First I am Vaccinated, and fully believe that is the first cornerstone.
After that, photography can be socially distanced between me and my subjects. I don't ever think it is appropriate to get right in faces, and I can certaibly describe things to move or show ways to pose.
Collaboration Photography Shoot From £0
Designed to suit aspiring models or actors, this service is a mutual collaboration where:
I will provide my time, expertise and photography
You provide your time to pose for planned shoots
In return, I will assign to you the irrevocable copyright license (rights to use the images) in your portfolio and you will sign a release form to allow me to do the same in my portfolio.
I do not ask to make a profit from this service, so costs are intended to be zero, but the shoot may have some costs and I may you to share those eg to hire a studio location.
Time based Photography Shoot £100/hour for Shoot and Processing
Designed for personal use, this service is based on a simple hourly rate covering all shooting and processing time with 1-way travel (i.e. 50%). Extended time to include editing is also available.
At the end of this, you will receive the photographs taken together with my assigned copyright license to provide you with full and unrestricted use rights of the photographs received.
My rate is oriented towards the level of professional (paid for) experience I have.
Engagement pictures for approx £200
You may want to have some pictures of your engagement. These are useful pictures for your wedding invitations and decor.
And if you then book a wedding package, I'll discount your engagement fees straight away.
Wedding day packages from £500
No two Weddings are the same, and yours is no different. This is why I like to work with a couple to custom-develop a package that suits both your needs and your budget.
Starting from £500 I can cover your single venue ceremony from arrivals through to formal group pictures afterwards.
If you have a reception booked and want me to cover that as a second venue, then I start at £750.
Finally, if you want to capture memories from your whole day from getting ready to your first dance, then I can build a package for you starting at £1000.
