As a professional photographer, I like to turn my lens to record exciting moments and I enjoy capturing the brilliance of people and objects. Having recently moved from California, I am well-equipped to deal with the hustle and bustle of even the most demanding and important events. I cut my teeth working on exciting assignments and was part of the official in-house teams for LA Fashion Week and San Diego Fashion Week. I take pride in my knack and instincts to be in the right place at the right time. My work has been published in international as well as the San Diego-based magazine, Discover Magazines. I am extremely comfortable covering major fashion shows, and all types of events, including lavish galas and celebrity-studded red carpets. Beyond fashion and events, I excel at using my creativity to produce vibrant and lively portraits for individuals and families. My work focuses on finding the colour and inner vibrancy and showcasing the best features to produce unique and flattering portraits. When I am working behind the camera, I strive to find something extraordinary and unusual and use my creative spark to frame the best moments and enigmatic expressions. I enjoy exploring my creativity and experimenting with new techniques and the latest trends that enable me to build upon my expertise and create bold and dynamic looks that leave my clients happy and proud. You will find that quality of work is a defining characteristic of me; I do not take shortcuts and pay great attention to detail to ensure your most important events are properly visualised! If you would like to collaborate with a consummate professional that will go to great lengths to produce exclusive and timeless images with a great sense of style, please feel free to get in touch.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

The easy answer is mastering and understanding light. Being able to take a flattering image in various environments takes a technical understanding of lighting and angles. The more personal answer is connecting with your client, understanding their personality, style and needs, and having that session that compliment those traits!

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Generally, something along the lines of what is your final intent for this project? A business headshot for example, may look different than one for a dating site. An e-commerce commercial shoot will be different from a lifestyle shoot. A family session will have a different feel than a corporate retreat. By understanding the end goals of the client, I can begin to construct and plan out their vision.

What do you love most about your job?

By far the energy! Particularly in events such as LA Fashion Week and other shows, I love seeing all the creative energy from everyone coming together. And the same goes for weddings, corporate and even family bookings. Every client is different and has their own creative vision, passion. I truly enjoy being able to explore and express those passions in a photograph!

What inspired you to start your own business?

My wife, as a fashion designer and model inspired me to pick up a camera. The energy, passion and creativity of everyone I met while taking photos inspired me to make it a full-time career. The beauty and vibrancy of the world needs to be shown more, and I hope to do my best with showing it!

Why should our clients choose you?

As a professional Fashion and Event Photographer recently moved from Southern California, I possess a unique vision and creative style. While working for the official In-House teams for events such as LA Fashion Week, San Diego Fashion Week and more I have been proven to work well under pressure and produce stunning images for both commercial and family clients. As a Fashion Photographer my wedding packages themselves tend to be very colorful and vibrant!

The number of photos that your photographer will take will depend on the type and duration of the photoshoot you book. You won’t see most of the photos either. This is because your photographer will take duplicate photos in case anyone blinks or looks away. They’ll then delete any photos that don’t come out quite right before showing you the final selection. A one-hour family photoshoot will typically generate between 30 and 60 finished photos.

What you choose to wear for your photoshoot is a personal choice. It’s important to choose an outfit that you feel confident in, as this will help to put you at ease during your photoshoot. Try to avoid busy patterns as these may blur on photos. If you’re having a family photoshoot, it’s a good idea to co-ordinate your outfits to ensure that you don’t clash with each other.

There are a few things that you can do to prepare your children for a photo shoot. Firstly, tell them about the photo shoot and help them to get excited. This will give the best chance of capturing smiles on camera. It’s also a good idea to make sure that the photo shoot doesn’t conflict with nap times and that your children eat, drink and go to the toilet before the photoshoot begins.
