My husband and I just received our wedding photos and I have to say that we are both over the moon with our photos. Throughout the entire process Andy has been so helpful and willing to answer any queries we had. We had a pre-wedding shoot to get used to being in front of the camera and he was so helpful setting up shots,making sure they were perfect as well as making us feel at ease. On our wedding day he was absolutely amazing getting shots organised and blending in with the crowd to capture some very memorable shots. During our phots it started raining and Andy was the first to run off and find us umbrellas to keep us dry during our shoot. Andy was our wedding photographer in October and he was absolutely perfect. I had attended a number of wedding fayres and had spoken to a fair number of photographers in the planning phase of our wedding. I met Andy at Loch Ness Country House Hotel's fayre and I was immediately struck by how friendly and easy-going he was. I decided to book with him before even really looking at his photographs because I knew I wanted someone like him on the day rather than a photographer who would tell me I was lucky to have him because of all of the awards he had won (yes, that actually happened!). From the beginning, Andy was great to communicate with and managed my sporadic emails with patience. We organised a pre-shoot where we got caught in the freezing snow and again, Andy was absolutely lovely. On our wedding day, Andy was fantastic. He was very organised in capturing all the formal photographs I had requested but most of the time he was barely noticeable, snapping away and capturing beautiful candid's of us and our guests. We were both a bit nervous about having our photos taken by a professional photographer, but Andy impressed us with his friendliness and professionalism, and relaxed and natural style of photography, ever since we met him at a wedding fair. The pre-wedding shoot was a fantastic opportunity to get to know him better and feel even more at ease. We loved the fact that he encouraged us to be ourselves, and captured us and our emotions, rather than ask us to sit in unnatural poses. He was also so nice as to meet with us for the shoot in two locations that we love. On our wedding day, Andy arrived very promptly and he was very active in following us both to make sure he captured all of our important moments. He gave his all in framing great pictures, by sometimes even leaning in high grass. He was very friendly and unintrusive with the guests as well, and we received great feedback about him from everyone. The results were fantastic- we were very impressed by the quality of the pictures and the way he had captured smiles, reactions, my mother's tears... everything that made our day so special! Andy traveled to the Isle of Bute to photograph our wedding on 7/7/18. From start to finish he was professional, efficient and very understanding (the bride was a demanding one ). Not once did he get in the way of the flow of the day nor were we aware that he was there most of the time. You only have to take a look at his website to see the quality of photo he produces. Not only are we absolutely delighted with every single photo Andy took.... but we found him a delight to work with, he is a genuinely lovely, humble guy. He was able to adapt as the day went on... capturing not only the most gorgeous and natural photos, but also the staged group photos as we had requested. Andy stayed way past the time we had originally agreed on as he found out the groom had planned surprise fireworks. His quality of photos and his professionalism make him unbelievable value for money. We had our photos edited and sent to us within a few weeks of the wedding. We chose Andy to photograph our wedding on 2nd June and we are so happy we did! From first contact to final images he was an absolute pleasure to work with. The engagement shoot put us instantly at ease which we didn’t expect as we are both quite camera shy! On our wedding day he captured some really beautiful moments - moments that we didn’t even remember as the day was such a blur. We hired Andy for our wedding in May after he did a sample shoot last year. Fantastic service from start to finish. Having the opportunity to spend time with Andy getting to know him and seeing how he worked we made our minds up really quickly that we wanted him as our wedding photographer. The photos from the initial meeting are excellent and exceeded expectations. On the day, Andy arrived as planned and throughout the day kept us right with our planned photos making sure all our special moments were captured. Andy's style was exactly what we wanted as we were keen that we wanted lots of natural shots as well as a few more formal photos. The results are amazing and show our day from all perspectives. From the very outset he was professional, timely, communicative and, most importantly, talented with a camera! Andy wowed us early on with some fabulous engagement photos and then was available by phone and email prior to our wedding day to discuss our specific wishes for the day. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Patience, equipment and an eye for a great shot. Sometimes a moment appears and you have to either pedict it or wait for it to happen. Equipment is very important - whilst you can capture great shots on phones now, there's simply not that option without the equipment to capture stunning portraits especially in low light situations.

What inspired you to start your own business?
I enjoyed taking photos from a very young age. But after being at a few weddings as a guest and seeing some of the photos, I wanted to be able to create some memories myself for others to cherish and look back on.
Why should our clients choose you?
Firstly, I'm a very easy going guy. It's important when choosing a photographer to not only like their photographic style but to like them as a person too. Nobody wants a bossy boots photographer who tells everyone what to do and upsets or annoys your guests. My reviews on my website speak for themselves, you'll notice a lot of the couples remark on my personality which I am very proud of - after all, I'm going to be with you for a large part of your day so you want someone you feel you can trust and get on with.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, I have my website but I also provide a personal online gallery to couples to showcase their wedding photos. Couples will have full admin rights to the gallery and can invite guests to view via a link as well as be able to buy prints, wall mounts, wedding albums etc.
I also offer a remote video chat option for couples who are maybe living further afield from their wedding venue or my location. This is a great way to initially meet me and get to know me ahead of the big day.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I regularly have covid tests ahead of a wedding. I've also had my double vaccination. I also wear a face mask for all indoor parts of the wedding day.
Morning Preparations
This ultimate package ensures every moment of your special day is captured for you to enjoy again and again.
From the ‘pop’ of the first cork to your first outing onto the dance floor as newlyweds I’ll be there capturing moments that you’ll treasure for the rest of your life.
You can also add extra coverage to extend even further to include the magic moments of your evening ceremony. Additional time is priced at £150 per hour.
The Ceremony
I will arrive around 30 minutes before the ceremony to capture guests arriving. I will also use this time to arrange shots of the wedding party including close family, bridal party, best man, ushers etc.
Coverage will then continue onto the ceremony where I will capture the special moments, guests, speakers etc finishing up with some departure shots of the newlyweds and if permitted, some posed shots outside the ceremony venue if requested.
From this point on I will continue to capture all the moments ‘as they happen’ and if required, arrange a location for family & guests posed shots.
All the day’s events will be covered culminating on the final shots of the newlyweds as they take to the floor and also capture the wedding party as they join the happy couple.
You can also add extra coverage to extend even further to include the magic moments of your evening reception as they unfold.
Additional time is priced at £150 per hour.
Half Day Micro Package
The Half Day Micro Wedding package is based on a 4 hour service.
This is ideal if you are looking to have a photographer for a few hours to capture some of the key moments from your day but without paying a full day’s price.
Please Note:
This package is aimed at weekday weddings and excludes weekends and Bank holidays unless within 6 months of wedding/elopement date.
