What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

A passion for photography, backed by a solid understanding of the fundamental rules of photographic equipment and concepts with plenty of artistic vision.
Photography is about equal amounts Art and Science

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

If the date cannot be moved the most important question is the date, if I'm unavailable I cannot help. and further discussion is a waste of everyone's time
I always ask - have you looked at our portfolio - photography is a very personal thing we all have different tastes so I am very keen for people to see and (hopefully) love my work before they decide they would like to use us

What do you love most about your job?

I love taking photos of people predominantly
People are all so different
I love the happiness surrounding wedding's the smiles and the (happy) tears
I love making memories for families that will last a lifetime - and then being seen by future generations long after I have gone

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having been an amateur photographer for years before - Having children was what caused me to realize the Joy I take from taking people photos - but also looking back on them years later - to an otherwise forgotten moment frozen in time by a photograph - It brings all the memories and emotions of the moment back

Why should our clients choose you?

Please have a look at our portfolio galleries on our website
Look at our reviews and
Then look at our prices
If you LOVE the first 2 and are ok with the 3rd then why wouldn't you book us?
We have a solid portfolio and a certain style, are easy going and our customers LOVE us
In fact our customers do most of our marketing for us!
Good old word of mouth says a lot about a company and this is where most of our work comes from

The number of photos that your photographer will take will depend on the type and duration of the photoshoot you book. You won’t see most of the photos either. This is because your photographer will take duplicate photos in case anyone blinks or looks away. They’ll then delete any photos that don’t come out quite right before showing you the final selection. A one-hour family photoshoot will typically generate between 30 and 60 finished photos.

What you choose to wear for your photoshoot is a personal choice. It’s important to choose an outfit that you feel confident in, as this will help to put you at ease during your photoshoot. Try to avoid busy patterns as these may blur on photos. If you’re having a family photoshoot, it’s a good idea to co-ordinate your outfits to ensure that you don’t clash with each other.

There are a few things that you can do to prepare your children for a photo shoot. Firstly, tell them about the photo shoot and help them to get excited. This will give the best chance of capturing smiles on camera. It’s also a good idea to make sure that the photo shoot doesn’t conflict with nap times and that your children eat, drink and go to the toilet before the photoshoot begins.
