Saffordshire

Hi, my name is Denise, mummy to 2 beautiful Ragdolls cats. I offer a trusted and professional cat sitting service in the comfort of your own home. I am dbs checked and hold a full pet sitter/ public liability insurance. I have owned cats along with other pets for most of my life, their care & welfare are my main concern,. Cats are creatures of habit and don' take well to changes in their routine, I offer my services of going into your home to care for your cat(s) in your absence, be it a holiday, whilst you are at work or even a hospital stay, I will feed & water your babies, check & clean litter trays as needed, groom if required and most importantly be a human presence giving them love & attention while you are away. I can also Make your house appear lived in by opening & closing curtains, switching lights on/ off and taking out your bin on designated.days. If you require, photos & feedback either by social media, e mail or text, I am happy to do this for you. Most of all I want you to be able to go away knowing that your cats are in safe & trusted hands being cared for as if they were my own.

What do you love most about your job?

I have loved animals all of my life especially cats, being able to care for them whilst their owners are away, and being able to keep them in the comfort of their own home alleviating any stress from both the pet & owner gives me a great satisfaction knowing I have helped to keep their beloved pet in as normal a routine as possible. Plus I get the added satisfaction of being able to pet & cuddle these wonderful animals in their owners absence.

What inspired you to start your own business?

We adopted 2 beautiful kitten sisters around 6 years ago, unfortunately at only 1year old Poppy developed non regenerative anaemia , we tried everything to save her but within a week she had died. 3 weeks later Phoebe. Showing the same symptoms was diagnosed with the same problem, we were referred to a specialist & Phoebe was put on a lifetime dose of medication to keep her alive, we learnt to recognise when she had a relapse & were able to increase her dosage accordingly. We were lucky in that I had a very good friend & family who we could trust her to when we were away, It was because of this that made me realise that some people don't have the help we did, and so I started my business, to be able to help people who want to keep their cat in their own home whilst they are away., gives me a great satisfaction knowing I have been able to help.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have had experience in caring for a poorly cat, I am able to administer oral medication , and recognise problems. My cats have been indoor cats and I understand the need to keep them happy & stimulated in the home through play. Cats do not like change in their routine and I believe by caring for them in their own home I am able to keep them happy, healthy & stress free.

Many people choose to use a pet sitter for the knowledge that their pet is in safe and caring hands. Many pet sitters are happy to regularly communicate with you by sending photos and videos, so you know your pet is being cared for while you’re away. Hiring a pet sitter to look after your pet in your own home also means that you won’t have to transport your pet or worry about them being in a new environment.

The decision between hiring a dog sitter or using kennels is a personal choice and depends largely on your dog’s temperament. Dogs who are prone to being lonely or nervous often prefer to be cared for by a dog sitter in their own home as they enjoy the close and personal contact. If you choose to put your dog in kennels, you’ll also need to ensure that your dog is vaccinated against kennel cough.

The best way to ensure that your pet sitter is reputable and trustworthy is through recommendations from previous customers. When you hire a pet sitter on Bark, you can browse the profiles of local professionals and read genuine reviews from former clients to ensure that you’re choosing the right carer for your pet.
