How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Important but it's just part of the puzzle. Relationships, movement, rest, career and stress management all nourish every bit as much as kale.

What do you love most about your job?

1) Cutting through the hype and mis-information. Health is remarkably simple, but society makes money from complicating it so we lose sight of the what nourishes us.
2) Knowing that health coaching is the future, and it will save modern medicine by preventing people from becoming sick in the first place. Lifestyle is implicated in <80% of our most common diseases, so by fostering health we can use medical resources for that 20% for whom diet, exercise and stress management aren't enough.

What inspired you to start your own business?

To be part of a movement towards looking after health pre-emptively, and not just starting to see people once they're already ill or injured.
I love working as an NHS physio - its necessary stuff, but it's "sick"-care. When I'm health coaching I know I'm truly contributing to "health"-care instead.

Why should our clients choose you?

1) Bio-individuality - everything is tailored to your specific context. No cookie-cutter plans.
2) Life's busy, so everything we do will be maximum benefit for minimum time/energy input.
3) We'll automate your health so it's habitual like brushing your teeth or zipping your coat on a cold day. That frees time and energy to live
4) After working with me I want you to have all the tools you need to tailor your self-care habits for the rest of your life.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, zoom, WhatsApp, phone. We can work out what's best for you. I schedule during evenings and weekends if that helps.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Face to face as meet-up for a walk currently. Most work is remote at the moment, sorry.

Nutritionists & Dietitians FAQs

Expand all

Your specialist will be able to advise you on the full range of services available and will be able to help you select the best treatment for your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a specialist today.

Dietitians are the only health professionals regulated and protected by law. Registered Nutritionists can provide evidence-based advice and information about food and healthy eating. Nutritional therapists provide alternative treatment, based on the idea that the body needs 'healing' and 'correcting'.

  • Credentials - Find a specialist that has the credentials to support your personal needs.

  • Experience - Ask how long your Dietitian or Nutritionist has been practising and look up their background.

  • Gimmicks - Check your specialist is not supporting an unsuitable diet brand or supplement.

  • Right fit - Make sure they are upfront in the areas they specialise in and are able to make referrals if your needs are outside their comfort zone.

The minimum requirement for a Dietitian is a degree in Dietetics or a related science degree with a postgraduate diploma or higher degree in Dietetics. Nutritionists should have attended a course which is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN).

Before you choose either a Nutritionist or a Dietitian, you could read testimonials and read reviews on their website. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read reviews from past customers too.

Absolutely! Whether it's receiving advice on how to tackle food allergies or a bespoke diet plan to help you live healthier, your expert will be able to support you via video call or the telephone.
