I am an outstanding teacher with many years’ experience of teaching and leading in Primary schools. I have successfully taught both individuals, small groups and whole year groups of primary aged pupils, including those preparing for SATs and the 11+. Since becoming a teacher I have successfully taught the English National Curriculum to pupils from Year 1 through to Year 6. I ensure that learning is both fun and challenging using a range of strategies and resources, with a focus on pupils applying the skills they have learnt in different contexts.

Gillian is the founder of Kent and Sussex Tutors. She has a degree in Chemistry and is a fully qualified teacher with almost 30 years experience in both state and independent schools. She has been a Head of Maths and also Deputy Head of an international school in Peru. She teaches Maths and Further Maths at all levels up to A level and also Chemistry up to AS Level. Alongside working in schools, Gillian has been tutoring privately for many years with a very high success rate.

I am a retired Grammar school maths teacher providing a successful private maths tutoring service for all age group from secondary school upwards. I studied chemical engineering at Cambridge University, had a successful career in industry. Trained as a maths teacher and taught Maths at Boys and Girls Grammar schools and now have tutored for 5 years. I find the most enjoyable part of tutoring is watching the progress pupils can make as they increase in motivation & self confidence once they are given one to one attention and are able to resolve those difficult questions they struggle with at school.
