Qualified Tutor, mathematics primary to A-Level, physics GCSE & A-Level. Chemistry GCSE. Experienced GCSE physics examiner with one of the main awarding bodies. After an initial assessment, I put in place a scheme of work that will allow the student to make progress with the subject they are studying with me. I mainly use my own resources, except when preparing students for their mock and final exams. to help prepare for exams, I use past exam papers. Homework is given, which allows me to assess my students progress in more depth than just assessing in lessons.

What do you love most about your job?

I find it very rewarding when students pass the exams that I have helped prepare them for.
It is very rewarding seeing my students making good progress either at school or with me if they are home schooled. Many of my students move up a set or more at school if they are not already in the top set.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I started being a Private Tutor after completing my teacher training at Greenwich University, whilst looking for a full-time position as a college lecturer in mechanical engineering. Not finding a suitable lecturers position, I found it possible to tutor full-time.

Why should our clients choose you?

When looking for a private tutor, it is recommended that the tutor should not only possess a degree in their tutoring subject but also a teaching qualification.
I hold two degrees from the Open University in science & maths, Certificate of Education Further Education from Greenwich University.
