My main aim is to create that calm and safe place for you to relax, rebalance and reclaim your inner peace. By giving yourself some ‘time out’ (even if it’s just for half an hour), will allow you to tune into your subconscious mind and receive the messages as to how best look after yourself. Most of us are too busy to hear these important cues. I offer Jikiden Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Natural Facelift Massage.

I love massages and I try them everywhere. Annie is simply the best. On every level. I came to her when my whole body was aching from stress and tiredness. I was amazed by her kindness - she did not seem to worry about time, talked to me, asked questions, let me cry some of my stress out. And then real magic started. Hot stones in my hands and on my feet, some kind of a prayer in Spanish, something that I did not expect but strangely it made me feel very special and I am not even sure why - safe, warm sheets and blankets, lovely smell of spices. Massage itself - she can do anything: gentle and relaxing, powerful and deep, it lasts forever and I always fall asleep in the end. Annie uses reiki -something I never thought much about. Well it does wonders. You just feel that your body is light and your mind is light. Annie must know some magic and must have a special relationship with energy from above. I never believed in this kind of thing before. Annie - thank you ! Highly , highly recommend her treatment!

As a client of semi permanent make up I am so glad of Vanessa's attention to detail, as getting older means application of makeup such as eyeliner and lipstick becomes more of a challenge for that perfect look with Vanessa's skill it is no longer a problem, its perfect 24 / 7 .

We are a sports injury and massage specialist based in the heart of Basingstoke in Hampshire. The clinic is in Rooksdown, a lovely quiet private estate beside the North Hampshire Hospital. We are clinic based, so unfortunately cannot provide a mobile service. A good massage can do so much more than just help you relax. If you spend a lot of time behind a desk at work, massage can counteract the pain and tension in your neck or back that prolonged periods of sitting can cause. It can help improve your sporting performance, speed your recovery from vigorous exercise and help to prevent or relieve injuries. And massage can reduce stress and help us fend of depression and anxiety; it can even help us sleep better. If you are serious about your health and fitness, treating yourself to the occasional massage should be a standard part of your routine, along with healthy eating and exercise. And if you are recovering from an injury, feeling aches or pains anywhere in your body, massage can play a crucial role in your recovery or rehabilitation. As a fully qualified massage therapist I provide a bespoke service for each and every client, listening to your needs and concerns and tailoring your treatment accordingly. I specialise in treating sports injuries, as well as providing general massage for clients who want to release tension and enhance their sense of overall wellbeing. I have a medical background, having been both a Qualified Nurse and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with SCAS, so I bring extensive knowledge of physiology and a wide range of medical conditions with me to the massage table. Whether you want help with a new injury, chronic aches and pains, or just want to de-stress and feel yourself completely relax, please get in touch to arrange your massage. The massage is all about you.
I love meeting and talking to people. Helping them with their problems and hopefully helping to treat them. My aim is to get you back to fitness, back to being pain free, back to your normal life. You don't have to live with back ache, or tight shoulders, or constant headaches.
To have a work life balance. To meet different people and make new links.
And be my own boss. Spending more time with family and my husband. I can stay at home while my husband flies off to another country with his job and look after our crazy yet soft as mud chocolate lab called Bailey and puppy Willow.
Small, relaxed and friendly practice. Personal and friendly service. Bespoke massage treatments.
I have over 10 years experience in massage and over 30 years in the medical profession. I am fully trained in body massage, sports massage; as well as posture analysis and correction, foot health, ultrasound & infrasound therapy and kinetic sports taping.
We strive to ensure each and every person leaves relaxed and happy in the knowledge that we have provided the best possible treatment and given the best advise that we can.
We have a private changing area with a bath robe and slippers to maintain your dignity. Once in the private treatment room you are free to relax.
We don’t just keep regular office hours. As the clinic is in my home, we can work around you in regards to appointments. You can now book directly from the website, meaning that you can choose a free appointment slot that works for you. Please just ask if you need an appointment outside standard hours. We also have off-street parking.

What types of massages does a Massage Therapist offer?
Swedish massage - This is a gentle type of full body massage that is ideal for people who have a lot of tension, are sensitive touch and are new to massage. It can help to release muscle knots and is a good choice if you want to fully relax during your treatment.
Hot stone massage - Hot stone massage is best for people who have muscle pain and tension or who simply want to relax. The massage therapist uses heated stones in lieu of or in addition to their hands.
Aromatherapy massage - Aromatherapy massages are best for people who want to have an emotional healing component to their massage. Aromatherapy massages combine soft, gentle pressure with the use of essential oils. Essential oils are diluted before being applied to the skin.
Deep tissue massage - Deep tissue massage uses more pressure than a Swedish massage. It is a good option if you have chronic muscle problems such as soreness, injury or imbalance.
Sports massage - Sports massage is a good option if you have a repetitive use injury to a muscle such as what you may get from playing a sport. It’s also a good option if you are prone to injuries because it can be used to help prevent sports injuries.
Trigger point massage - Trigger point massages are best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, a specific issue or condition. Sometimes areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.
Reflexology - Reflexology is a great option for people who are looking to relax or restore their natural energy levels. It is also a good option if you aren’t comfortable being touched on your entire body. Reflexology uses gentle to firm pressure on different pressure points of feet, hands or ears.
Shiatsu massage - Shiatsu massage is best for people who want to feel relaxed and relieve stress, pain and tension.
Thai massage - Thai massage is best for people who want a more active form of massage and want to reduce and relieve pain and stress.
Prenatal massage - Prenatal massage can be a safe way for women to get a massage during pregnancy. It can help reduce pregnancy body aches, reduce stress and ease muscle tension.
Couple’s massage - A couple’s massage is a massage that you do with your partner, friend or family member in the same room. Other treatments such as pedicures, facials, and body scrubs are sometimes offered as part of a package.
Chair massage - A chair massage is best for people who want a quick massage that focuses on your neck, shoulders and back. A chair massage can also be a way to introduce you to massage if you have never had one before. This type of massage uses light to medium pressure.
What should I consider before deciding on my massage therapist?
There are a number of factors that are worth considering before choosing your masseuse.
Choice – It is important to consider why you want a massage. Do you want to find relief from chronic pain or are you just looking for a way to relax? Deciding why you want to get a massage will help you narrow down your options and find the right massage therapist.
Comfort- Getting a massage is a great way to relax both physically and mentally. It is easier to take advantage of this benefit when you feel totally comfortable. That is why you should find a massage therapist that makes you feel comfortable and at ease.
Recommendations – You are likely to have at least one friend or family member that has visited a professional massage therapist and read their reviews on Bark.
You can be confident that any of the Bark local massage therapists listed will give you a relaxing and therapeutic massage.
How do I check the Massage Therapists’ credentials?
You could look for massage therapists with a Level 3 Diploma in Massage or Complementary Therapies. The Council for Soft Tissue Therapies (GCMT) is the governing body for massage therapy and recommends that all massage therapists have taken a full or part-time course.
Before you choose a massage therapist, you could read testimonials and read details of their services on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read massage reviews from past customers too. This might also help you get some ideas for the type of massage you want to book.
