What do you love most about your job?

I love my job because as a home carer l promote people's independence by supporting them to stay where they want to live and do the things they love to do. Supporting people to be part of the community where they are connected to the people who are important to them including families and friends.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have been an informal and as well as a paid carer for more than twenty years and there are things that l would like to see done differently in the sector. Now that l am the employer, l can improve the way people receive a tailor design Person- centred care by involving the people we support in decision making and planning their support.

Why should our clients choose you?

We listen to our clients plans and needs and recognise it is their quality of life that is important. Helping them to stay as active and independent as their health allows is our collective priority. Our belief is that everyone has the right to choose the way in which they want to be cared for and supported. We respect people's privacy and offer dignity, choice and independence to our clients. Our staff are caring, well-trained individuals who are responsive to the needs of the people we support, their families and the community we serve.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

We ensure that staff has up to date information on Covid 19. We will follow the guidelines from the department of health and Social care making sure government policies and procedures are followed always. Our staff are equipped with the latest information, training and guidance that is required to manage risks. We have a business continuity plan in place in case of any potential interruption to normal service or operations. Staff are trained on testing, sanitising, wearing and disposal of PPE and also sharing knowledge with our clients appropriately.
