What do you love most about your job?

I love getting to know many wonderful dogs and discovering new things about them as we spend more time together. I love how rewarding it is when they are excited to see me, especially when they’ve been shy to begin with.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having worked in contact centres whilst raising my children and building our family the time came
to start working in a different way. To find a better work life balance. I’ve always loved spending time with dogs, having had dogs in my life since a young age. I’m passionate about dog wellbeing and wanted to be able to share this with the wider community and to help other dog owners as they begin to return to
places of work.

Why should our clients choose you?

As a dog parent I understand how important it is to find the right care for your pet. You want to know they are in the right hands, you want them to be safe and happy. With River Wood you can be sure your dog will be treated like my own - with love, attention and dedication to their wellbeing whilst in my care.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Towels are changed after every dog

The price of hiring a dog walker will depend on the area of the UK in which you live, with prices typically higher in the South of England and particularly in London. The cost of hiring a dog walker will often be lower in the North of England and in Scotland and Wales.

The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.

It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
