Lucy and Molly are absolutely brilliant with our miniature Dachshund Murphy! Molly has been helping out with Murph since he was a young puppy. Doing puppy visits and then later taking him on pack walks. She even works on recall and training with him when he’s out! Murph adores Molly, and Molly is so patient with him and his Dachshund ways. Lucy was kind enough to come and sit with us whilst my mummy went to her birthday party, this put mummy’s mind at rest as she was then able to enjoy her night out without worrying about what we were getting up to, especially as Jemima (a rescue doggy) doesn’t like being alone and has separation issues. Lucy made sure that we were comfortable and happy with her being here and she snuggled up with us both on the sofa giving us lots of cuddles and treats so we didn’t feel lonely or left out. We were really anxious about getting a dog walker with them being trusted with our key. But Lucy made us feel reassured from the beginning and Monte our french bulldog absolutely loved her.
We were definitely sure we picked the right person.
Since using Lucy for the last 4 months we have been very impressed. She keeps us updated on Montes progress as we asked for advise on training due to him still being a puppy. He has come on leaps and bounds with Lucy in his life. Highly recommend to everyone we meet.

Lucy has been brilliant so far with our gsd Chloe. She is not always the easiest dog,a strong willed,cheeky thing at times so she need someone who would be confident with her. She had been really good for Chloe and she loves walking with Lucy! She walks her twice a week and it looks like she has a wail of a time. I can’t believe I’ve not wrote a review sooner!
I can not recommend Lucy enough. I worry about leaving our dogs with anyone but felt reassured from day 1 that our three were in the best of hands.
For the first time in a long time, we left our dogs for 2 whole weeks and had lucy stay at our home and I can honestly say I didn’t worry once! We had regular chats, pictures and updates and the whole gang were very well looked after - they weren’t even that bothered when we got home so must of had too much fun without us =*) . One of our dogs is reactive and i never let anyone walk him but lucy is so good with him, very understanding with his needs and also keen to keep up with his training. Our three all absolutely love lucy - as do we and the only complaint i have is that we can’t take lucy with us when we move soon!! Hands down the best person you could have to look after your animals. Thank you SO much Lucy for everything you’ve ever done x

What inspired you to start your own business?
My Dobermann Nova inspired me to start my business. She was always a nervous puppy and this fear developed when she had bloat at 15 weeks requiring an overnight visit to the vet. I have worked hard to ensure she is comfortable in the presence of dogs and people and that I am able to read her body language effectively to ensure this.

Dog Training
I am a force free, reward based trainer.
I will only use positive methods when working with dogs. I believe in combating 'bad' behaviours by teaching an alternative behaviour.
During these private sessions, I will help to train you to train your dog to become a more balance and behaved member of your family, both at home and out in public. We use force free, science based training to reward your dog for doing something that we like - this may be through verbal praise, toys or treats.
Dog training involves having patience, the motivation and also understanding. We can teach our dogs to engage with us by positively reinforcing behaviours we do want with fun reward based games.
Training sessions are conducted in the comfort of your own home however, we can venture outside into the local area depending on what training is being done.
After the session, I will send you an email with a summary of what we with through during the session as well as a follow up email a week to 10 days after the visit.
Examples of some of the areas I currently cover are:
● Basic commands, slowly building criteria & duration
● Fun games to help boost your relationship - including trick training
● Pulling on the lead
● Lack of recall
● Jumping up
● House training
● Crate training
Dog Walking
Our walks include both physical (running) and mental stimulation (finding treats, tricks and much more) but just aim to be super fun for your dog!
Puppy Tales Specialises in solo walks!
Solo walks are great for dogs who are reactive, over-excited or require on-lead walks. These can be catered to your dogs training programme.
We are happy to walk reactive dogs - we are completely aware of maintaining a safe distance for the dog and to keep them under their threshold.
We try to include basic training whilst walking including recall and loose lead walking however, walks are mainly to ensure your dog gets a break during the day and has a fun time! If you are working on specific issues with your dogs then please let me know and we can see if we can cater these into their walks.
We do walk small groups of dogs (2-3) dogs who are well matched and happy to be in each others company.
Online Classes & Trainimg
We use online video conferencing so we can see you and your dog to train remotely.
