Hi, I'm Kayleigh
I'm a registered member of the BACP, offering one to one talking therapy in Bournemouth and Poole.
Sometimes life can get difficult, talking to someone in a safe space without fear of judgement can be helpful.
At the heart of my practise is my belief that we all deserve to be who we are.
Through my counselling experience I have been able to work with children and adults facing life's struggles, such as;
Felt so relaxed and not judged. Great advice, relevant and able to use. Great knowledge base. Would recommend.
Finding a counsellor can be quite daunting so I offer counselling for individuals or couples in a safe non-judgemental environment allowing space for you to explore your current situation. I offer the opportunity to promote positive change and to work through whatever it is be that is troubling you or causing you concern. I am accessible at three different premises across Dorset located in Wimborne, Parkstone and Poole.
I experienced the very quick onset of panic attacks & anxiety issues, something I never thought would happen to me. I really was at a crisis point & a colleague suggested Sue Lane.
As a sceptical person I wasn't sure how much, if any, this could help me. I had it in my mind I was only going for one session as I was convinced I would feel like this forever & nobody could help me. When I meet Sue she was extremely professional but offering me much compassion, she could see I was at boiling point. I was overthinking & worrying about everything. Sue taught me that I couldn't control everyone and their actions being there responsibility, not mine. At the height of my panic she gave me super advice on coping mechanisms & breathing patterns. I had sessions over a period of 6 months.
I went through a lot of life changing events in my early twenties continuing into my early thirties including near death experiences, bullying in the workplace & bereavement. These events started to bite back approaching my forties. I never thought after this long period of time that was the root cause of my panic & anxiety and surely counselling would be of no use to me. I only tried it as a last resort but I should of done it so much sooner.
After the counselling finished I could refer back & use the techniques. I am now in a much better place & so much more like my old self. I do owe a huge thank you to Sue.
