Extra Help® can offer care and support solutions to everyone in our community. We offer a helping hand on a regular or ad hoc basis to elderly clients younger adults with physical disability, parents, and busy professionals. At Extra Help we Also pride ourselves on convenience and high-quality service. Our franchise has been operating since 1997 and has a wealth of experience. We understand every home is unique and the people living there, we are sensitive to your needs. We provide a personalised home survey and introduction to our cleaners to create a personalised service that meets your needs. Our aim is to build a relationship that lasts from the start, as we also offer other services that you may need in future. So we are not there just for one of clean, we aim to meet your needs. We work with: • Business Professionals who simply do not have the time to do the cleaning • Families • Lettings Agents • Elderly customers who find cleaning their homes a difficult task • New parents & people recovering from an operation/injury Below is our service agreement in regards to cleaning services to ensure there is no confusion regarding prices and the services we offer. Please contact us if you have any questions. Types of Services Explained: SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE CLEANS (weekly, bi-weekly, tri-weekly and monthly) For those that have a regular cleaning service, please ensure the home is in “average” condition (meaning not looking like a complete mess). If for any reason the home is found to be in an extremely dirty state we will contact you and reserve the right to charge extra before we clean. ONE TIME STANDARD CLEAN For those using us for a one time clean, once again please ensure the home is in “average” condition and the number of rooms chosen is accurate. If for any reason the home is found to be in an extremely dirty state or the home has more rooms than booked for, we will contact you and reserve the right to charge extra before we clean. STANDARD CLEANING LIST Dining Area / Hallway, Stairs and Landing/ Porch/ Kitchen/Bedrooms/ Bathroom • Dust walls and ceilings for cobwebs • Dust light fixtures on walls and ceilings including floor and reading lamps • Clean dining table and hoover or drywipe chairs • Clean radiators and visible skirting boards • Clean light switches and plug sockets • Clean doors, door frames and door handles on both sides • Clean window ledges and shelves • Clean picture frames and mirrors on walls including free standing mirrors • Clean mantelpiece and fireplace surround • Clean sideboards, bookshelves, coffee tables and display tables (External Only) • Clean TV stand/shelves (External Only) • Clean toy boxes (External Only) • Hoover or drywipe sofas, armchairs and chaise lounge • Dust light fixtures on walls and ceilings including floor lamps • Clean extractor fan • Clean radiators and skirting boards • Clean sink, drainboard, taps, splashguards and surrounding tiles • Clean light switches and plug sockets • Clean doors, door frames and door handles on both sides • Clean picture frames and mirrors on walls including free standing mirrors • Clean cupboard doors and handles (External Only) • Clean cupboard plinth, plinth heaters and plinth lighting • Clean all work surfaces and shelves • Clean inside and outside of microwave • Clean cooker hood and cooker top • Clean bins, toasters, kettles etc (External Only) • Cleaning washing machine, dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven (External Only) • Clean bathtub, bath panels, taps, splashguards and surrounding tiles • Clean shower screen/doors on both sides, shower head, shower tray, taps, splashguards and surrounding tiles • Clean sink basin, behind sink stand, taps, splashguards and surrounding tiles • Clean toilet inside/outside, behind toilet pipes, splashguards and surrounding tiles The cost of all services include everything that is detailed on the checklist and standard add ons. Any requests that require extra or unusual supplies may be charged additionally for the service. We arrange a one time meeting and introduce you to our cleaner/helper and we go through a checklist of cleaning required, or any additional cleaning required. Our cleaners need to be able to work freely and without distractions. Every effort is made to work safely and cautiously, but we cannot assume liability for the safety of others (children and pets). If you do have pets that shed a lot of hair please let us know before hand as we may need to charge extra depending on the amount of hair lying around in the home. Cancellations and Rescheduling: While we know schedules can change at short notice, cancelling, rescheduling or missing a booking causes our Home helpers to lose valuable work. Therefore, fees apply for cancelling or missing a booking within 24 hours (but more than 2 hours) of your bookings start time. Same day cancellation (Cancel or Reschedule 24 – 2 hours) before booking – 10% of booking total. Short notice cancellation fee (Cancel less the 2 hours before booking) – Unable to refund. Missed appointment fee (A team arrives for a scheduled booking, but they are unable to gain entry or get started) – Unable to refund. I have hand picked an excellent team of home support workers, bringing their skills, and our shared values of kindness and compassion. Together we take enormous pride in providing a high quality, exceptional service to all of our clients. Extra Help® is fully insured and all of my home support workers are police/DBS and reference checked. We interview and reference check home helpers to match you the right helper to provide you with assurance of quality and safety. We provide a caring service with continuity and consistency. Services include, but are not limited to: - Companionship – popping in and spending time with clients or providing respite for carers - Domestic cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing - Shopping - Transport to supermarket, health appointments, hairdressers - Meal preparation - Spring cleaning - School runs and help for parents - Gardening and DIY - Assistance to social events - Dog walking - Household maintenance I aim to provide the same home support worker on each visit, to provide a personal service and allow a trusted professional relationship to develop. What do you love most about your job?

I literally love every aspect about my job. This is something which gives me a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction at a personal level. This is something that I look forward to each morning.
Especially when I am able to make some ones life better.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I am a social worker both by profession and personal nature. Since the age of 16, helping people has been my passion. I have enjoyed a successful social work career, being nominated for and winning awards for my community social work and even receiving a personal letter of gratitude from the director of Birmingham Adult Social Care as well as numerous feedback from citizens. I have gained a wealth of skills and expertise in the social care sector and combined this with a background in customer service industry business.
Why I chose Extra Help Franchise? Strict policy about quality of service and all the franchisees are of caring ethos, which is line of my own values. Most of all the joy of working with and helping people is what motivates me.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am transparent and ethical, I would like to sell my service, but I I will not sell just because I can make some money. If I cannot make someone happy, I do not see that it was right to do so.
I have always worked in this manner, and I have been rewarded by feedbacks and awards being won at my social work role.
