What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy getting out and about meeting new people and the sense of satisfaction and pride from a job well done with a happy customer.

What inspired you to start your own business?

After 27 years in the navy where I trained, and spent the majority of my career as a radiographer, I decided that upon leaving I wanted to do something different that would be both stimulating, satisfying and rewarding. Owning and running a business certainly ticks all of those boxes! Cleaning Carpets, Upholstery and drapes brings it own challenges and rewards when a previously heavily soiled and downtrodden carpet for instance can be given a new lease of life- ultimately saving the customer the expense of a replacement. For others it could be the removal of stains from a carpet caused on the last day of your holiday in a rented property.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am professional, punctual and reliable with a good success rate in stain removal and whilst not the cheapest out there I will give you the same level of service regardless of the value of the job, there are no packaged services and what I say is what you'll pay (unless you wish more to be added on the day). I had an excellent training package before starting this business with a mix of classroom based theory to back up the extensive field based practical elements. Let me give your carpets and upholstery a new lease of life!

While there’s no better feeling than having a fresh and clean carpet, it can be tricky to maintain! If you want to keep your carpet spick and span, you must clean it regularly to prevent dust, hair, and other residues from building up and ruining its appearance. As a minimum, aim to use a vacuum cleaner once or twice a week. Though regular vacuum cleaning won’t be tough enough to remove stubborn dirt and stains. If a build-up of dirt over time has left your carpet looking dull and smelling musty, then you’ll need to hire a professional carpet cleaner. They’ll use specialist equipment to lift the stains from the carpet, leaving the carpet fibres and base fresh and odour-free!

To remove stains, the key is to act fast! Have carpet shampoo ready and waiting for when unexpected accidents occur, but remember to always test this on a hidden area of your carpet to make sure it won’t damage or discolour the fibres. Carefully blot the stain away before applying the solution to the stain. Avoid using hot water or rubbing the stains too vigorously.

The frequency that you should get your carpets cleaned depends on several factors, including how many occupants are in the house, the volume of footfall, and whether you have children, pets, or are a smoker. Although, professionals advise that you should get your carpets cleaned every 6-12 months.
