I held a medium sized afternoon tea as a surprise for a baby shower. The group included GF, pregnancy and other dietary requirements. From the beginning of me booking the table in advance to after the event the contact I have had with all staff has been friendly, professional and very helpful. The food was delicious. The afternoon tea portions were large (we didn't finish), the scones were huge and warm and fresh. We liked the choices of jams. The ability to pick your own sandwich was a wonderful touch. I highly recommend.

Cake Creations & Celebrations was founded in 2015 but only ran on a part time basis as I was still doing my 'day job' working for the NHS. I made cakes for family and close friends as a hobby baker, but not getting any kind of a wage, just enjoying creating the cakes. At the end of 2016 I took the brave decision to leave the day job and concentrate on working on what's I was more passionate about - cakes and baking. I also took the decision to extend my work from creating bespoke cakes to also start offering delivery of afternoon teas. Although it's still in it's infancy, it continues to grow thanks to my lovely customers making bookings then reviewing and referring me to their families and friends. I'm loving what I'm doing! So, the business names run side by side, but separately. After making creations for family and friends for a couple of years, I was getting lots of positive feedback telling me that I should start my own business. Working for myself has allowed me to spend more time making cusomters happy, also being able to work hours which suits me. This may be longer working weeks than I did when I was employed, but because I love my new role so much, it's really not a chore,
I have a rating of 5 with the environmental health system (scores on the doors) which is the highest score that can be given. This means I am following guidelines around food safety, hygiene and health and safety. I take this very seriously.
