I bought a tired Victorian terraced house in need of a lot of TLC. Vasile and his team did an incredible job bringing the home back to life, with so much care and attention to detail. I was updated throughout the process, and consistently advised on ways to save money and do justice to the character of the house. Vasile was always on hand to listen and take note, providing exceptional guidance and support during a stressful time for any homeowner! Nothing was ever too much to ask for, and they delivered on all agreed and beyond.
For me, Built to Last did: a full roof repair (on an old sinking roof!); kitchen/diner knock through (installing wide window slide doors, new appliances and boiler); electric rework and installation of fire alarms; demolished an old outside toilet and built an internal one; complete refurb of the living/dining, including installing period fire places and built in bookshelves; knock through of a defunct chimney wall and extension of the bathroom, with complete modern refurb; full painting and decorating of the bedrooms, with installation of period fireplaces and carpet; and repointing of crumbling brick work.
The quality of the work was exceptional, and a year later I’m still enjoying my home. Thank you to Vasile and his team - highly recommend!

It all depends on the size and complexity of the job at hand. For completely new builds, we normally work as a team. Every member of our team specialises in a different area, such as electricals, plumbing, plastering, and decorating. This means that when we work on larger projects, we can cover all areas of the building work at once. We can complete the project from start to finish, instead of needing to bring in different teams or leave the client with a half-completed house. Whereas for smaller jobs, such as building a new wall or making minor home repairs, we can operate as individual construction workers. As experienced contractors, all of our team members are fully qualified to complete a range of building tasks by themselves. So no matter the size of the job, we can get it done.
As a professional and experienced construction company, we bring all the necessary equipment with us to each job. It’s unusual for the customer to need to provide tools or sophisticated building equipment. Even if it’s only paint brushes, we bring all the needed supplies with us, which saves the client money and time. It also means that we know we’re using top-of-the-range equipment for each job, ensuring the best results every time.
As part of our service, after a project is completed, our teams will dispose of any waste materials that have been produced. Wherever we can, we recycle or dispose of any waste sustainably, and donate any spare materials so that they can be used for something else. We also do a complete clear up of the space after the job is completed. Building work usually creates a lot of mess, so we make sure to clear the space of any dust, dirt, and spare materials once we’ve finished.
