Very bad experience. I booked this service since a month ago but it was cancelled just a day before of my end of tenancy cleaning. So beware.

Booked an end of tenancy clean. If I could leave a zero star review I would. Absolutely disgusted with this company and the way they treat their customers. The cleaning team arrived two hours late, making me late for work. They were very dismissive and declined to give me enough notice to return to the property for a walk through before leaving. They wouldn’t even send pictures. When I returned to the property, I discovered that they’d damaged two of my windows. This is now coming out of my security deposit.

So now I’m out of pocket £300+ for the shoddy clean and losing my security deposit to fix the damage caused.

The customer service has been terrible, I’ve been phoning and emailing for days and gotten nowhere with resolving this.

I wouldn’t recommend this cleaning company to anyone. Steer clear. More...

I hired WL clean to do a deep clean for my house on Thursday 19th December, they were due at 10am, come 10.45am no one had turned up so I called, only to be told due to unforeseen circumstances the cleaner booked couldn’t come, I was told I was sent an email explaining this only l didn’t receive it until after I’d called. I find it unbelievable that a company doesn’t have a backup plan for when a cleaner can’t make it, especially as people do get sick, why isn’t there a backup cleaner. I was then told l could have the house cleaned the next day, that they just needed to confirm a few things and would get right back to me, 3hrs later I called them to find out what was going on, only to be told they’d get back to me by the end of the day when they’d found a cleaner, l stopped them there and said don’t bother I’ll clean my house myself, and that’s what I did. I felt totally let down, this clean was supposed to be a treat for me as I’m my husband’s carer now and have to do everything around the home, so this was a chance for me to have a rest and let someone else do the cleaning. The cleaner contracted to carry out the services requested was a disgrace. The poor performance and the times not meet. i suggest whoever use this company to ensure someone stays 24/7 on to avoid inconvenience such as my experience, at the end i had to clean the whole house to hand the keys. no Empathy towards costumers. The WL-Clean company gave an excellent deep clean. They came last minute, on the same day. The house was sold and handed over the next day. The cleaner spent 8 to 9 hours cleaning a 3 bedroom 2 lounge and 2 bathroom house. He left the bathrooms gleaming and shiny. The whole house looked much better after he had finished. I recently used WL cleaning for an end of tenancy clean. All appear well, the cleaner arrived on time, albeit on her own, which I though was odd for the end of tenancy clean of a 2 bed house but she confirmed someone else would be attending shortly. She was on time and polite.
We arrived back the next day, less than 24hrs later for the walk though as her WL’s policy.
The house was generically cleaned to a good standard. I was unsure if the hard floors had been washed and if the upstairs had been hoovered but upon speaking with the cleaner, she confirmed that had been, perhaps not to a great standard but as I say, the rest of the house was good so I ignored that issue.
The main issue both myself and my partner instantly found was a number of marks in the same place within the kitchen. The marks were inbetween the sink and the oven/hob. My assumption from looking at them was that some sort of bleach had been used on parts of the oven and possibly placed there. It appeared that something had burned off the laquor or covering on the laminate worktop. If bark allows, I will post photos after this review. It was very disappointing because as I said before, the clean was generally to a good standard; but the most disappointing part was yet to come.

After speaking with the cleaner, whom I sent the photos to, she apologised on the phone and “noted the damages” within messages. But at no point denied seeing the stain before.

The house itself is in extremely good conditions. We treated it like our own home. The rest of the worktop is in excellent condition so it is an immediate and very obvious.

We took photos and informed WL cleaning who said they would investigate. In the mean time, I also passed to them, the cost of the worktop as a replacement which our landlord had sent to us.

WL replied with the following -
Following a thorough investigation into the matter you raised concerning the worktop, we regret to inform you that we have found no reasonable basis to approve the damage claim. Our review concluded that there is insufficient evidence to substantiate that the damage was caused by our cleaner.

Furthermore, we must clarify that we cannot accept liability for any additional charges imposed by your landlord in connection with this matter.

A very short, we don’t believe you reply in effect. I wanted to write this review; I’m just a normal guy who looked after a house and wanted it professionally cleaned to hopefully get back all of my deposit.
I don’t really know what more I could have done to provide WL with a reasonable basis to approve the claim baring taking photos of the entire house before the cleaning had commenced. To be honest, I had poor cleans from cleaning companies before but never any damage so this is new territory for me. Based on my previous experience I went though 3-4 companies and spoke with them and picked what I thought was a good one based off of reviews. The standard of clean was good. The customer service was not. I’m writing this because although I understand it was an accident, they have insurance for these types of things I assume. Absolutely appalling service- they sent someone completely inept who barely cleaned anything, said he wasn’t told what he had to do, then the company refused to give a refund despite pictures being sent of the fact that he hadn’t completed any of the agreed spec. Following a recent change of events, our property management company discovered that the property had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard, despite WL claiming it was an end-of-tenancy clean. Several issues were identified, such as fingerprints, dirt in the cabinets, and an unclean fridge, just to name a few. Whilst we did a walkthrough after the cleaning, it was late at night, and we couldn't properly inspect the property. The next day, our property managers sent us photos showing the poor condition of the house. I've contacted WL multiple times within their 48-hour resolution window, but they have yet to provide a solution. Based on this experience, I would not recommend WL unless you want to end up paying twice by hiring another cleaning service after this one. Avoid. More...

Please do not use this company. They are fraudulent, send cleaners who don’t clean properly at all and then refuse refunds (despite being sent photos showing how most of the rooms/ stairwell was untouched and uncleaned! ) They simply act as an agency sending any cleaner they can get and taking half of what you pay for themselves- I’ll be contacting trading standards as the whole set up is a scam - please don’t get ripped off like me! Very poor service provided. The end of tenancy cleaning is far from the standard. Kitchen, bathroom, hob and oven were not cleaned entirely. The cleaners worked for only 1.5 hours. They left the flat immediately after cleaning and not staying for the inspection (We arrived at the apartment within 10 mins after they left). We showed them the photos for the uncleaned items and asked for further cleaning. However, no response from both the CS and cleaners on the day. They responded after several days for cleaning the flat again but it didn’t help given the tenancy ended. Definitely not recommend this company. More...

Would totally avoid this company.

I paid for an end of tenancy clean and was told they would arrive promptly at 10am. I arrived at my old flat at 9:45 to receive an email at 9:58 saying the cleaner would be an hour late. I paid £260 for a full clean including carpet cleaning... which they said they had done. I then had the checkout clerk confirm the carpets had not been cleaned, the washing machine was left dirty and their was significant dirt left in the toilet/bathroom. I had to get an emergency carpet cleaner in as the new tenant is due to move in soon which has cost me an extra £130. This company is totally unprofessional and will end up costing you even more money. Always go with the recommended cleaners via your agency - otherwise you will be putting money down the drain.
