What inspired you to start your own business?
After working in IT for many years helping people with technology and working in the voluntary sector with Cruse in Cornwall helping people cope with loss and bereavement making the jump to full-time therapist seemed an obvious step.
I really like being beside people as they overcome the difficulties in their way and move on to better things.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I integrate the Person Centred approach with Solution Focused Therapy this gives my clients the best options for working on their issues.
We can look at underlying causes and triggers with Person Centred and then develop steps to move forward with Solution Focused.
Each session can be a different mix of the two therapies and I take my lead from the client - we always follow their agenda and work on their priorities.

All sessions are online or by phone. Zoom is the preferred video calling service but we can use others if that is better for you.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy
Look forward to the solution, not back at the problem.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) concentrates on finding solutions in the 'here and now' and exploring your hopes for the future to find a fix for your problem.
The core belief of this approach is that you know what you need to do to improve your own life and, with the appropriate coaching and questioning, are capable of finding the best solutions.
Some people only need one session and most people don’t need more than four.
Sessions are one hour long and not necessarily weekly. Four sessions could take place over ten weeks if that was what worked for you. You decide if you want to come back and together we agree the timing and dates.
It takes a maximum of 6 sessions.
The costs are £50 per session.
Sessions take one hour and can be face-to-face or over the telephone if that is easier for you.
Person-centred Counselling
If you want to explore why you feel the way you feel and would like to gain insight into your own motivations and behaviours the person-centred counselling could be the service you are looking for. Positive, supportive and sometimes challenging these sessions are lead by you and go where you want to explore.
