This lawfirm did not keep to their word as to how they would charge me. When i wrote to them asking for clarification in case i had misunderstood, they never replied back. In response to Wildcats response, this is completely not true. I did not attempt to haggle on price, I queried why I was being charged a fixed fee when they told me all future charges would be rated by the hour, and they offered a smaller fee, which made me wonder if this meant less time would be spent on the work they offered to do. Not a positive experience. Enquired to see if a will was on file for an inlaw and was told no instantly without even looking it up. Then was told they couldn't tell me anyway due to confidentiality dispite being next of kin. I was told to go to a third party site to locate the will. Wouldn't do my will here if my family can't access it. Update following response________ Thank you for your response. However, I must express that your recollection of events differs significantly from the interaction that actually took place. After being informed by my father-in-law that he had not been given any information—presumably due to confidentiality, given that he was separated from the deceased—I decided to call your office myself. I approached the call politely and with an open mind, simply trying to assist as next of kin during a very difficult time. Upon asking whether a will was held on record, I was abruptly told “No!” without any apparent attempt to check. This was immediately followed by a statement that, due to confidentiality, you couldn’t even confirm whether or not a will existed. I want to emphasize that I was not asking for any personal details—only whether a will was held, which I believed to be a basic and non-sensitive query given the circumstances. When I then asked what could be done, given that the client had passed away and we were the next of kin, I was only advised to try a third-party website. This was in stark contrast to the other firms we contacted, who expressed condolences, checked their records, explained clearly whether or not a will was held, and offered helpful advice or services for next steps. Unfortunately, we found your response not only unhelpful but also unnecessarily abrupt and lacking in compassion, which only added to our distress during an already difficult time. It raises an important concern: if a will was held with your firm, it’s hard to understand how family members are supposed to proceed if the firm is unwilling to assist them in any capacity. Furthermore, if there was no will on record, I don’t understand how confirming that could possibly be considered a breach of confidentiality. Lastly, I want to clarify that I made no reference to any specific solicitor or firm during our call. I hope this feedback can be taken in the constructive spirit it’s intended. Families who are grieving need guidance and support, not barriers and blunt responses. Further response to additional reply........ Your accusations and insults only serve to highlight the unprofessional conduct of your firm. My further response was not significantly edited—it was simply a more detailed account of the incident. Any suggestion otherwise is both inaccurate and inappropriate. I would say more, but we are a grieving family with more pressing matters to focus on at this time. Please do better. More...

I don't normally leave reviews but I thought it might help others who like me don't know what solicitor to use.
I had been trying to conduct my case myself but struggled with the court forms.
That was when I tried searching online for a solicitor to help. The first firm I tried was very helpful at first but when I wanted to talk to them I had to book an appointment in their office over half an hour away. A friend who had dealt with Wildcat told me to give them a call. I moved my case and have been really happy with how they managed it and the result.
They weren't cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. The main thing for me was that I could talk to them regularly and they understood my case.
