I contacted Jacob on Saturday to replace the hard drive in my son's laptop. Over the weekend, we discussed a few options, and by Monday everything was agreed. Jacob replaced the drive, installed Windows, upgraded the RAM, put the old drive into external housing (so that we can use it for backups), and even gave the laptop a thorough internal clean — all in under three hours. I took my laptop to Jacob in Cambridge because the display was breaking up. The problem was the display itself so I left it with him for for a couple of hours to replace it. I was kept informed with several messages showing the progress and when complete I went to collect it. Jacob gave it a thorough test and I left very happy with the work done. My laptop battery was about 4-5 years old and very suddenly stopped being able to charge.A friend recommended We Make IT Happen, and they ordered a new battery for me on the same day I contacted them, and then did the repair in one day after the battery had arrived. They were much faster and more fairly priced than previous repairs I have had from the manufacturer. I rarely write reviews, but the team at We Make IT Happen truly deserves all the praise. My 2023 MacBook Pro (M2 Max, 16-inch) suddenly died without warning—no power, no charging light, completely unresponsive. Apple told me it was likely a logic board failure and quoted over £900 for a replacement, plus said I might lose my data.I found We Make IT Happen through a Google search and contacted them in a panic. From the first call, they were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and reassuring. Jacob (the technician who worked on my Mac) explained everything clearly and didn’t overpromise.He diagnosed the issue as a shorted power rail on the motherboard and suspected damage near the M2 Max security chip. Despite how new and complex these MacBooks are, they managed to repair the board at the component level without replacing the entire logic board and without losing any data. Jacob and his company are highly recommended. Knowledgeable, efficient and fairly priced. I had a laptop needing a replacement screen urgently. The necessary replacement was sourced, ordered the same day as my initial call and then fitted a couple working of days later. The laptop had also been overheating and generally slow. Jacob suggested a deep clean and a RAM upgrade but there was no pressure. Again these were very reasonably priced so I went ahead. My son was experiencing some difficulty with playing his game. His pedals on Flight Simulator were not working. It was resolved remotely. It was a good experience as I don’t have a lot of time and didn’t have to travel. Also, our broadband was not fast enough for the new version of the game. Jacob, who runs the company ordered extenders, cables, and a stronger router and provided a step by step guide for instalment and was available on the phone for solving any problem. I want to give a huge thank you to Jacob for fixing my laptop—he’s truly a lifesaver. He upgraded my SSD from 256GB to 1TB, but after the upgrade, we ran into an issues with the Windows 11 touchpad drivers for Samsung laptop.
