Very helpful office staff I had to change the date of the carpet cleaning due to decoration at home. On the day Josh advised me of the time of his arrival and took great care with moving the furniture. Cleaning took about two hours large lounge dining room and stair landing and porch carpets. The carpet a wool carpet was fourth years old and had not been cleaned for decades. I was planning to have the cleaning as a temporary measure before buying new carpets. However the result of the cleaning was excellent and so totally revitalised the carpet that I plan to keep it for the foreseeable future. More...

Very disappointing and unprofessional service. I booked Vulcan Hygiene for a steam clean of a carpet in a three-storey house. At the time of booking, I clearly explained the layout of the property and that the room was at the top of the house. I was also told that their truck-mounted steam cleaning machine would be suitable for the job. When the operative arrived, he took one look and immediately said the job couldn’t be done because the room was “too high”. He insisted the hoses would have to be run through the entire house, rather than using the far more practical option of feeding the hose through the stair banisters or the top-floor window. No cleaning was carried out, yet I have now been sent a bill for £59. I find this completely unacceptable. The job was pre-agreed, they failed to deliver, and I should not be charged for their lack of planning or capability. I would not recommend this company based on this experience. More...

Received a call from Stephen on the morning he was due, letting me know when he would be arriving. He talked me through the paperwork and explained a further option for cleaning the lounge carpet. Stephen was professional, polite, tidy and chatty. I was asked also if i need any help returning furniture back to the living room. The sofas are looking brighter already and still need to fully dry and the carpet looks new. I wouldn’t hesitate in using Vulcan Hygiene Ltd. again or recommending them.
