The support and care that my mum has received in the last few months has been outstanding. She has dementia, which has been slowly progressing. The carers and office team know her so well, and their care plan enriches her daily life. From trips out for lunch, home-cooked meals to a warmed nighty, she feels safe and well cared for in her own home. The team have also supported us through emergency situations, including a fall at home. The Older people's mental health team commented on how Mum's care package was very good, and that she had everything necessary to stay in her own home. I live a 3-hour drive away, so having such good care in place for my mum is a real reassurance. I often tell people that the care that she receives is like being cared for by friends. I cannot fault the care provided to my dad or the support shown to me. Two staff members in particular always make my dad smile and he looks forward to their visits. What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that I am supporting service users who are not able to care for themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having cared for couple of relatives, including my mum , my dad and my wife before their passing. I am inspired to motivate and encourage people who are in the different situations in their life
