I first came in to contact with Visiting Angels almost a year ago whilst trying to coordinate and balance the care of my mum and aunt as well as working full time. From day one I have been so impressed by the compassion, empathy and professionalism shown by the management team and the carers alike. The level of feedback after each visit is great and really helpful. Sharlean is an amazing person and is always looking to improve things, is proactive and so caring. I felt daunted about coping when on my own, post knee replacement surgery, and realised that I would need help around the home for the first 12 days. Not only did I get the practical help I needed, I also got the moral boost and encouragement that I didn't even know I needed but which made a huge difference to my recovery. The visiting angels were fundamentally kind and caring, with positive and cheering dispositions that adapted well to a changing situation. One day it would be changing sheets or gardening and next making a birthday cake for my daughter. Communication with the main office was exemplary and the managing director, Max Read spent time and care on the home visit to assess my needs and match me appropriately. I came across Visiting Angels at an extremely challenging time. I was full time caring for my mum when my aunt became unwell and began exhibiting challenging behaviour. Her needs changed almost weekly and Visiting Angels worked with me to keep my aunt safe and in her home for as long as we could during a very stressful and chaotic time. It feels like having family help you, they really care and stand up for their clients needs. They will co-ordinate appointments, and take a lot of the administrative responsibility off your shoulders. They don’t believe in short 30 minute appointments, they have an hour minimum and they take time to match your person with the right carer for them. They also helped me to arrange care very quickly for my mum while I was travelling and I was able to relax knowing she was in great hands. You can access a daily report in the app they use.
