How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Attached to home garages fall under permitted development, detached garages may require planning if change of use is needed. In terms of suitability, the first thing to look for is the base on which is it built, as adding or removing the floor to gain levels and insulate could be costly.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Design and planning permission, if required.
Floor slab, levelling and damp proofing.
Infilling the existing door, adding new doors / windows.
Wall and roof insulation, heating and electrics, to final finish.
All work would be subjected to building regulations and a structural engineer may be required if spanning large distances without support.

We guarantee all works generally for 5 - 10 years depending on which materials are being installed.
