I started CBT with Simon when i had a sudden onset of a medical condition which left me feeling very anxious and depressed. Having never had a therapy session i didnt know what to expect however Simon was so easy to talk to and I found myself relaxed and able to open up about how the condition had made me feel. He went above and beyond to support me, tailoring sessions around what i needed at the time. After a few sessions I found myself reframing my thoughts around it and using the tools he had shown me to accept the new normal. I honestly cannot thank him enough for his help and support. More...

Simon has been instrumental in enabling me to re-evaluate how I talk to myself and establishing boundaries. He is kind and generous with his time. He is non judgmental and patient and not only do I feel empowered to move forward, but I also feel I have gained a friend I can call on of I need him. Thank you again for being amazing!!!! More...

I contacted Simon after my relationship of 14 years fell apart due to my husband's infidelity. I didn't know which way to turn and a friend recommended him. Simon is easy to talk to and it feels like you're talking to a friend which is exactly what you need when you feel vulnerable. I felt broken when we first started talking and he has gradually helped to piece me back together. In a situation where I felt completely out of control he reminded me that I was in control and supported me in setting boundaries. I've had quite a few realisations in sessions with Simon as he asked the questions I never even thought of. I can't thank you enough for building up my confidence and self worth again. You're one of a kind! More...

I can’t recommend Simon enough. I was really nervous about having therapy and reaching out to someone but I instantly realised I didn’t need to be. I’ve had therapy prior to Simon and it felt very ‘serious’ and uncomfortable, however Simon made me feel relaxed and comfortable instantly with his lightheartedness but understanding approach. I felt like I’d known him for years and was talking to a friend. He has really adapted my way of thinking and I’ve had quite a few lightbulb moments when speaking with him. I feel like I’ve come away with techniques and tools for my mind for in the future that’ll really help me. I can’t recommend him enough and I’ll be recommending him to all my friends and family. Thanks again Simon! More...

Finding Simon and working together with him was a revelation, having tried therapy a few times over the last years and struggled to get much out of the process.
He helped me get to the root of my issues, and provided helpful, practical advice and techniques to change my behaviour and environment.
I really appreciated his direct and active approach, as opposed to just asking questions and letting me find answers - he was with me exploring issues and guiding me to the answers I needed. In just a few short months he helped me address issues with grieving, anger, frustration, ego and my approach to relationships.
Can't recommend the guy enough, if you've got this far and are considering giving him a shout - DO IT!

Simon has been incredibly helpful with myself and my partner both as individuals and also as a couple. He has been so easy to speak with and we both felt really comfortable from the beginning. Simon has given us both amazing tools and support during our sessions on our own and together which has helped us so much. We was very unsure about taking this journey and talking with a professional but we are so happy we did and we are so much stronger for it. I can’t thank but also recommend enough. More...

Mr Vincent Simon has made the impossible, possible. What it seemed a dead end, is now a new beginning.
I’ve married the love of my life who I met 7 years ago.
Since we got married one year ago, everything went downhill. We felt that marriage has broken our bond, we were not communicating anymore and we felt we were just roommates.
Simon has made us communicate more, understand each other’s fears and concerns, support and love each other more. He is kind and truly has shown professionalism throughout all our sessions. His approach is friendly and vocational at the same time.
We definitely recommend him.
We are both thankful for everything he has done for us.

For a very long time I put off doing therapy, until my life started to feel like it was crumbling and I was beginning to lose myself. I decided to finally make some changes and start looking into therapy. Which Simon reached out! Honestly best decision of my life choosing therapy and Simon was very patient, kind, made me feel extremely comfortable and I will never lose contact with him as I know how much he has helped me find myself again to become a better person. Simon is one of the best people you could speak to. His experience in trauma, overthinking and stress is to the next level. What I loved mostly about Simon was that whenever I had a panic attack he’d actually make time for me to speak to him and calm me down. He has excellent ways/perspectives to include in our thinking and has helped me greatly. More...

I was so nervous about getting therapy and didn’t think I would benefit from it at all and I didn’t think I would be able to talk or open up. On the first initial call Simon made me feel so comfortable that I wanted to tell him everything there and then. He’s so helpful and kind and patient and you can tell he genuinely cares and isn’t just doing it because it’s his job. He’s like an angel I got sent when I really needed someone. If you need someone to talk to there isn’t anyone better, I thought I would hate therapy but I look forward to our sessions and I feel like I’ve made an improvement after every single one. Could go on for days saying good things but yeah he is the best get booked in now!!! More...

I cannot recommend Simon enough. His calming nature abd open personality put me at ease instantly. The sessions did not make me feel like therapy and that helped massively as I not the most outspoken person when it comes to talking about my feelings. I am now equipped with all the tools I require to a happier and stress free life. I am in control, and Simon helped me realise this. Simon cannot help enough, even happy for quick messages inbetween booked sessions. Thank you for all your support Simon! More...

Amazing service. Has really helped me with the out look on life and solutions or make my life a lot easier.
What do you love most about your job?
I worked in the military 22 years, working with victims of domestic violence and also children who had been abused. I completed an Msc in child forensic studies and law and gained a level 5 CBT diploma. I have been working with violent offenders for the past 4 years and enjoy seeing people realise how their actions have not only effected them, their partner but also their children. I enjoy seeing the light bulb moment in someone when they realise that their problems or issues can be resolved. I also work with people around substance misuse, self esteem, confidence and parental conflict.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am now in a more relaxed pace employment working with troubled families who need all round support. This has allowed me the time to explore a more therapeutic private approach to people.
Why should our clients choose you?
I like to help others and build a trust with someone so that can feel relaxed and enjoy the sessions. I believe I have evolved listening skills and will not provide options or advice but pragmatic tools to help you and reflect back to you what you’ve said so you can hear it for yourself. I will help you see new perspectives and draw your own conclusions. I will also listen to what you don’t say, as well as to see patterns in the way you discuss things. Through observation I will notice your body language and mannerisms and help you notice these aswell. I am easy to talk to and wont be nervous, strange, or uncertain of what to say, which will make you feel comfortable, and able to open up about what troubles you. I am always congruent. I am reliable and will inform you about cancellations. I always believe in the person I am working with and provide ‘unconditional positive regard‘. I will always respect your privacy and not share what you say with anyone, outside of my onw legalities around supervision.
I enjoy seeing what I call the lightbulb moment when people realise that they can use the tools I have provided.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
If local I can be flexible to meet face to face, but also online or telephone if the person is more comfortable with that.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am up to date with my injections and will always wear PPE if required to do so.
Anger Management
Anger management is an approach designed to help you manage the emotional and physiological arousal that accompanies anger. As it's often not possible to change the circumstances or people that elicit anger, anger management can help you recognize your triggers for anger and learn to cope with them more effectively.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a negative cycle.
CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts.
You're shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel.
Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past.
It looks for practical ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis.
Parental Conflict
Some level of arguing and conflict between parents is often a normal part of everyday life. However, there is strong evidence to show how inter-parental conflict that is frequent, intense and poorly resolved can have a significant negative impact on children’s mental health and long-term life chances.
Child aggression
NVR stands for Non-Violent Resistance, it’s an approach with its roots in the civil rights movement which has been developed to address children’s violent or self-destructive behaviours. NVR has gained in recognition and popularity due to the realization by many parents and professionals that, for children who find it hard to be supervised or guided by adults, reward and punishment approaches can lead to escalations in violence. Furthermore, in the face of violent or destructive behaviours, most parents do not want to be drawn into responding violently themselves yet find that trying to use words to reason with their child is also ineffective. NVR offers a chance to address these behaviours whilst also conveying love to their child. I consider NVR to be a philosophy as much as a therapeutic approach but that is not to say that it doesn’t also include some very practical, action-oriented ideas for parents to use in their homes.
Sessions are with parents only and the advantage of this is that the approach does not need the child or young person to want to address their behaviour for work to commence. Work might begin with an in-depth exploration of escalation patterns within the home and also how ‘present’ the adults are to their child. In NVR, presence refers not only to parents’ physical availability but also their presence in their child’s mind. Most of us seek to instil certain values, beliefs and morals into our children by teaching them what is right and wrong and how to behave appropriately. When there is a high level of violence or aggression in the family home, parental presence can be lost meaning our influence is not strong enough to help our children behave appropriately.
