I’ve had my cleaning done fortnightly for three years, but have recently had very poor service. My flat wasn’t cleaned properly-floors not swept, dust on sofas, sink not cleaned, stairs not mopped. When I raised this, I was expected to pay the full price regardless and told it was best to end the contract as it wasn’t worth cleaning for two hours. Sam was our coordinator and some-time cleaner for over four years. She always organised/provided an excellent cleaning services for us, she was really communicative and lovely to deal with, and sometimes went completely above and beyond (e. g., she organised a handover of our keys to our cat feeder when I'd left them the wrong set!). In my short time with this company I had 3 cleaners. First one attended twice in 5 weeks for various reasons. Second cleaner was well over 6 months pregnant and quite rightly did not want to bend over or lift things which I was sympathetic to, but had to suggest to the company was perhaps an issue? The third cleaner was ok but left early on days we weren't in. We then had to stand down to shield for COVID. I continued my quarterly payments at thier request, in part as I appreciate they are a small company, and as I was advised easier to refund me then cancel. In fairness, I have had refunds for every month not used. However, post covid we arent able to continue having a cleaner and so despite many months without a service but paying the fees, they are insisting on taking my 4 weeks notice. Hardly fair in light of the good will offered for the best part of a year and having not had a top rate experience. There are many companies out there that don't hold your fees in this way. The first cleaner they provided was working 30 minutes less than we paid for (every week for 4 weeks, so 2 hours paid for and not worked in total- she didn’t spot the huge CCTV camera facing the front door), and I advised that she was not completing cleaning to the required standard. There was thick dust on sideboards and skirting boards, and the bathroom and conservatory were still water marked. I sent pictures to the office and advised them that they were charging us for time not worked. They provided another cleaner but explained that they “don’t do” refunds. Cleaner number 2... A lovely lady, but the cleaning was atrocious. She had this talent of somehow spending 2 hours making everything look less clean than when she started. After 3 weeks we sent the office more pictures of the thick dust on tables and sideboards, and explained that the cleaning was still to a poor standard. As we’d been charged for time not worked (breach of contract) without any offer of a refund, and as they had at no point checked in (by telephone or otherwise) to make sure everything was okay, I told them I did not want to continue with the service. I’d paid 12 weeks upfront, and I’ve been advised that they “don’t do” refunds. Still contemplating whether to take this further out of principle alone. Very disappointed, and concerned at the attitude of the office who aren’t even remotely concerned that they’re charging for time not worked. I do not rate this company at all. We had a cleaner for years through the west London branch. We paid for two hours every week but were lucky if we got 1 hour. I eventually found another company (which has been great) and ended my contract with Time For You. I had paid the agency fee upfront so I was due a refund and I’ve still never had it, despite it being almost a year now. I have contacted them so many times about the refund and I’ve never received a reply, yet they were quick to reply to my initial email cancelling the service. The Glasgow South branch of TFY are just fantastic. Kennie, who owns the franchise, was proactive and thorough in explaining the approach and understanding our requirements. We were assigned Mary, who has been an absolute God-send for us. She does more in 2 hours a week than I could manage in 4-5 :). We trust her totally. This is for St.Helens services. I have been told that I need to provide my own cleaning products. When I asked about the hoover and the mop I have been told that this is not needed, as cleaners bring their own, only the actual products. No problem.So they came first time, I did spot a dew things afterwards which I wasn't happy about, i.e. the mirrors were cloudy and chrome surfaces were wiped with the wet cloth and just left to dry. I had to buff off watermarks. But I brushed it off, thinking - it's their 1st time, I used to clean houses for living too, and you need to familiarize yourself with the house to make sure you get everything done on time.Next time I came home to a note saying that the floor isn't mopped as I didn't leave it indoors, so cleaners left early and will work extra next time. But I have been told they bring their own, hence I didn't leave it out. Moreover, it looks like the floors weren't even brushed or hoovered. There were literally clumps of pet hair and dust behind the doors and in the corners. Windowsills were dusty too. I took the photos and sent them all over to the manager. Got a reply that "it is not clear from the photos where the dust was left". I was so taken aback with the response that I've asked to cancel the service. Got a reply saying that I had to give more notice so the cleaning will go ahead one more time before it can get cancelled. Fine, thought, they owe me 15 min anyway. And then they never turned up! I've sent the text message to the cleaners asking why they didn't come over. They replied that's because I've cancelled.And they still had my key.I was fighting back and forth for a partial refund, as a) they left early and b) the service wasn't delivered as promised. And on another line I kept asking cleaners for the key. Took them nearly 2 weeks to drop it off (I changed my locks by then as I wasn't sure if they ever going to return it). Plus got whooping £8 refund, claiming that this is more than enough as I was still tied into the contract.First and last time ever I've hired a cleaning company. More...

Despite repeated attempts to make contact (including sending bank details for the refund, etc. ) we have still received no response. This ‘organisation’ is frankly a joke. I agree with what someone else said here don’t touch them with a barge pole- as soon as you ask them what you pay your retainer for they go quiet on you because the answer is nothing. It took them three months to find me a good cleaner and finally when I asked why I am paying £52 a month I get no reply. Don’t ever trust a company that doesn’t disclose a phone number on its website and it totally faceless. Lesson learned.Dealing with them is nothing but hassle.
