I have a very busy day job and happened to come across "the night owl' in a search for a graphic designer and I am glad I did.
Bruce has been great to work with, we have had teams meetings after 5pm, and most of our email comms have been out of office hours.
I found Bruce to be very professional, and he has created my vision of the short book I have written. He has sharpened up pictures, and made really helpful suggestions around content, type face, paper and front and back cover.. etc!
He has managed the whole printing process for me.
I would absolutely recommend Bruce the night owl!

This was a “toe in the water “ for me. I wanted to have a book of my poetry designed and printed. Via Bark , Bruce (the Night Owl) contacted me and in less than a fortnight I received a box of 100 books, the quality of which exceeded my expectations and with which I am totally delighted.
Bruce was helpful in his advice on design and layout and his meticulous attention to even the smallest of details gave me complete confidence that my work was in safe hands. He understood my requirements fully and nothing was too much trouble for him in ensuring they were met. He is also amazingly speedy.

We hired Bruce to make a revision booklet.
He was extremely impressive from the moment we put out an advert on Bark. When he responded to the job he had clearly researched what the exam we were creating the booklet for.
This was really refreshing compared to some of the other responses which were quite generic.
We had a limited budget and he was happy to work within that which was extremely kind.
He was so easy to work with - he responded very promptly to e-mails including on weekends and late in the evenings.
In terms of the booklet - it looked incredible. The front cover was beautiful and he even managed to update our logo to make it look really bright and match the rest of the booklet. He managed to get it done very quickly and made any changes we needed within a day. He completed the project within a week, even though it was more than 150 pages of formatting!
I'm really happy that we chose to work with him and will be looking to hire him for any other work we need in the future. He's professional, approachable, reliable and clearly very good at what he does.

I will listen/read through what is required, do some initial research on the company online if possible. Then start thinking a little outside of the box!
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
A brief description of what you require along with any logos/imagery relevant to the brief.
What do you love most about your job?
Design! its as simple as that, I love to sit here all hours designing. With design there is never a right and wrong, its all about personal preference.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The thought of doing design work solely on my own, I can work directly with the client and get a better feel for what they want. I get joy, and they get what they want, at a fraction of what design company would charge.
Why should our clients choose you?
I design quality work to the standards of design agencies but at a fraction of the cost. You will deal with me and only me through-out the design process.
