I have been a client of Taylors for nearly three years I have a carer 3 times daily yay & always look forward to them coming to help me Nearly always able to have a good laugh & joke with them Some of them even call me Mother They are always helpful if I want anything done - in particular I would like to mention Vicky for what she has done in the past few days I have had a few problems but on Wednesday I had to have the plumber here as my water was too hot To cut a long story short The plumber turned the water off for safety reasons - hence no water When Vicky went home she took flasks with her & went around her family to see if they had any water containers she could bring water to me in It’s not easy working normally with no water but Vicky coped Yesterday I was really down in the dumps but she talked me out of it I know I must have been a problem at times for her but She has never complained once Always got A smile. Well now I think I’m the new Mary Berry after Rachael’s birthday ????. Poor Amy Kearney almost had a heart attack when I decided to make my son in-laws Adam Growcott birthday cake. Especially since he’s not a cake eater. So I decided as he’s a health fanatic I would make a protein bar cake, well lots of little ones. I spent ages collecting lots of recipes on Pinterest all ready for the bake off. Well I needn’t have bothered With all that research as when I got to the shops I wouldn’t listen to a word Amy was saying, so we had rolled oats, porridge, muesli, granola and array of nuts dried fruit, whey powder And God knows what else , basically anything that looks healthy. Amy said she would take care of the melting of coconut oil and some syrup just in case I burnt myself and I was in charge of getting all the ingredients out and at the same time as we putt the rolled oats under grill to toast, Well after second tray of oats I got cocky and decided I could do the oats all by myself , as the poor girl had been crossing her legs for ages so as she ran up stairs, I instantly forgot what I was doing, ???????? Only remembering when I couldn’t see Amy for the smoke As she ran back downstairs . After all that, it was Only then we realising we didn’t have to toast the oats if the bars are being baked in the oven . So by this time I didn’t give a monkeys what went in the bowl. Amazingly they turned out really good, four different flavours packed full of protein and goodness and with love and lots of swear word and a stressful moment when I decided it would have been easier just to buy the bloody bars at Asda . Well it’s little Lola’s birthday next week and I’m going to make her cake, she wants one like mummy’s ???????????? So Amy Kearney if you want to go sick ..next week I’m giving you a heads up now ???????????????????? Amy is so good I’m not sure how the poor girl hasn’t lost her marbles and it’s not like I can give her any of mine they got lost years ago More...

After all my strokes and fitting on a daily bases, I'm not safe around Knives cooker firer, well any thing I can harm my self with???. So Amy Kearney is worth her weight in gold as she will help me with any thing. Even if she thinks bloody hell here we go. So after not bakeing any thing for ten or more years she help me make the cake I wanted for Rachael. Just getting ingredients was a night mare my trolly was full of any thing I thought was cake related and Amy was putting it all back as we went. I covered Amy, my kitchen in cake mix, as I fitted while use a electric whisk so it was like a comedy sketch, as whisk out bowl tightly grip in my hand flicking mix ever where. "I intially joined Taylors in 2006 as a Support Worker and have had the opportunity to see first-hand how career opportunity and diversity of is both possible and actively encouraged within the company. After getting to know the ropes working as a Support Worker for Taylor's, an opportunity came up to switch roles and work in the data department. Due to prior experience in this area, I swiftly became Data Manager for the department and in the last year have been promoted to Office Manager. It's a busy job and not without its challenges but I am surrounded by a great team and always receive lots of support.Having a clear understanding of the challenges our Support Staff face each day helps greatly in my new role and I enjoy working with a fantastic team of Care Staff who I can honestly say consistently strive to deliver the highest quality of care possible. What's really nice about my new role is that I still get to speak regularly with our clients and have also been able to build relationships with our colleagues from the NHS and Local Authority who we work closely with on a daily basis. I thoroughly enjoy my daily work with Taylor's and really can't see me working anywhere else . I love it!" More...

What do you love most about your job?
We are passionate about people, hence our strap line is "your care is our passion". We want people to advance in years in their own homes with affordable care and support whenever they need it. Seeing the extra lease of life this gives to families is the main reason we’re so passionate about what we do.
Covering the South West, we’ve become the home care provider of choice to hundreds of clients since 2003. Our carers go the extra mile to support our customers and get to see first-hand the peace of mind that their ongoing support provides.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Taylors of Grampound is a leading private home care company based in Cornwall founded in 2003 by Trish Taylor. Trish had many years of experience in the health sector and struggled to accept the standards of personalised care within the community. From this, the concept of Taylors of Grampound was born. With the creation of the company, Trish was able to employ people that were caring and dedicated to helping others remain in their own home.
Trish retired in 2017 therefore Claire Taylor-McHale and Kevin Taylor-McHale are the owners and Directors of Taylors of Grampound. Claire and Kevin learned from both personal and professional experience the importance of a reliable, responsive and top-quality support service for people within the community. They share a desire to improve the quality and value of care across Cornwall and are inspired to build the Taylors of Grampound business.
Now a leading private home care company based in Cornwall they are determined to grow a new type of social care business that improves care standards across communities. Claire and Kevin are passionate about providing fun, relevant and quality training to their staff. They believe the process of acquiring high-quality care services should be available and easy for all.
