Avoid at all costs!” I went to this solicitor’s office with an appointment, specifically to have a statutory declaration form signed. After traveling quite a distance and spending money on fuel, I was told by the solicitor (who I believe was named Andrew) that he couldn’t assist because I needed “legal advice” instead. This was completely unnecessary and unprofessional – I simply needed a signature. I have experience with these forms, having signed over 10 commercial leases, and I can confidently say this solicitor has no understanding of a statutory declaration, nor any grasp of basic commercial lease requirements under the 1954 Act.
