At the time, the roofer wasn’t particularly the greatest or neatest, but thankfully, he’s no longer part of the team. What really made the difference for me was Ollie’s knowledge and expertise, his confidence in the system gave me confidence too. It is a common misconception that the sun must be directly shining on a solar panel for it to work efficiently, as this is not true. They can still produce electricity even on dull days, but they will work far more efficiently on sunny days in the summer than winter as the sun is higher in the sky. The best panels can have an efficiency of around 22%. This is very high efficiency as most are around 15%.

INVERTER REPLACEMENTS
The lifetime of inverters in household installations is about 10 years. On average, during the lifetime of solar panels, the inverter should be replaced once. The life expectancy of an inverter depends on its environment. For example, a high temperature has an adverse effect on lifetime.
