What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people in a holistic way. Part of being a CBT therapist is teaching people how to be their own therapist.
I also love using Reiki, it is an ancient form of healing, and can only do good. It’s a privilege to support people with their emotional needs, and see them return to wellness.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve always wanted to be my own boss, and after a two decades in the corporate world, and having raised my family, the time was right for me!
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should do their due diligence and research before choosing a therapist. Therapy is a deeply personal affair, and the therapeutic alliance is such an important part of the journey. It’s important that we develop a strong connection and build trust and confidence.
Simply put, if you choose me, as your therapist after our introductory session, I will use all my skills to help you return to wellness and become the best version of yourself.

I can provide my services face to face in The Wellbeing Rooms in Stepps, Glasgow, or I can provide online services using Teams. Typically, sessions last 50 minutes, and take place weekly.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours are connected. CBT is a collaborative therapy that helps you manage your difficulties by reframing your thoughts to a more balanced perspective, which in turn impact on your actions. Equally, if you change your behaviour, this will impact on your thoughts.
CBT is a goal orientated therapy which has extensive evidence based research on the success of treatment, particularly with depression and anxiety based disorders.
Therapy is fluid and depends on the client’s needs and budget. Typically, CBT requires a minimum of 6 sessions.
Sessions last 50 minutes (a therapeutic hour) and generally take place weekly.
Reiki Therapy (energy healing)
Reiki means Universal Life Force. Reiki therapy works on a physical, emotional and spiritual level to restore our energy and promote holistic health. Reiki therapy flows through the body, reaching the parts that need support, soothing pain and helping the body’s natural healing process.
Reiki therapy can benefit people of all ages, and is effective even at a distance. There are no side effects.
Reiki can be delivered in person, only by a trained and attuned Reiki Practitioner, or it can be delivered even at a distance.
During a Reiki session, the Reiki Practitioner will gently place their hands on different areas of the body (or slightly above the body). You may feel a mild sensation of warmth or coolness, or light tingling. Reiki can be delivered on a comfortable chair or couch, and you are fully clothed during the session.
