Teach Me Music Academy is a brilliant provision and facility! The team are so welcoming, supportive and extremely talented. My community group ‘Reach’, for individuals with learning difficulties and disabilities, enjoy regular music sessions with one of their music teachers Jarrad. What do you love most about your job?
Providing informative and entertaining education to all ages. Music is an entertaining art form, so it's important to mix education with interactive and exciting learning techniques. A lot of people struggle to learn a musical instrument because it's presented and taught in the wrong way. People get into music because they want to perform, enjoy and play their favourite songs so this is an integral part of my job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been a music educator for 18 years as when I was younger I struggled to learn anything musical. I was taught in the wrong way and had the wrong teacher for my learning style. That inspired me to get into teaching to make sure no one had the same experience as me.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm calm and patient. I understand that all people learn in a different style and no one has the same journey through music. For this reason I create a tailored bespoke learning plan for every student to make sure you enjoy every step of the journey while learning what is important to you. Music education should be tailored to the individual to bring out their creativity and individuality.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
All of my lessons are remote through zoom as you get the added benefit of recording every lesson and all resources are digital so you can keep a portfolio of information for future use. As the lessons are remote, it also saves my students wasting money on transport or travelling to the lessons. You can learn from the comfort of your own home on any device.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All customers are safe from Covid-19 as there's no physical interaction. This also reduces lesson cancellations as sickness and illness isn't spread between the student and tutor.
