Smiths have just finished putting in the Garden Shed base. We needed the work carried out urgently due to the delivery date for the shed. Archie came around viewed the area and offered his advice. We received his competitive quote the following day. He understood our situation and arranged his schedule and got us sorted. Didn't have a great experience with this company. They had staff members drinking alcohol on the job and leaving left over cans in my garden. As a result my turf wasn't cut properly in places and they tried to hide it by throwing sand on top. Owner only offered to patch up the area which is also poor. There are also other areas of the garden where the turf has not been cut to size and therefore left gaps. They replaced some fencing with new fencing and it is not straight. It comes inward to the garden. Asked owner for some money off due to me not being satisfied but was refused. Would not use this company again. More...

This review is untrue,on completion of the work the customer said they was completely happy and satisfied with the job, they rang back a couple of days later with a couple of minor gripes that we went and sorted out the next day, again the customer was pleased with everything and complimented us for our hard work, only to ring back about 5/6 days later demanding money back for no good reason. Really dont know what they are talking about as this job was done like all our work to a high standard which most people are more than happy with as you can see by other reviews. Would not wish to work for this customer again.

They did me a block paving patio and drive, they did a really good job, they was all friendly. Got on with the job and did what they said they was going to do. Really pleased with there work and would recommend them. More...

I came across Smith's Home Improvements in a Bark request for quotes. Archie responded promptly and came to view the work required and give a quote soon after. He was polite pleasant and professional throughout. Once the work started his team soon set to work ... it was like watching DIY SOS! My old cracked driveway and patchy unlevel lawn was taken up in no time. Archie came and showed me the various block paving colours and patterns I could have. He kept me informed all the way through what they would be doing. The whole team were polite, professional and hard workers. There was minimal disruption and within 4 days my front was transformed into beautiful block paving, a perfect lawn and pretty gravels areas for my tubs. The price was very fair and I could not be happier. I have asked Archie to do more work including a carport and decking / back garden work. Archie & his team have recently installed new soffits, fascias, guttering, downpipes, etc, to our house & also re-fitted a much needed new shed roof.
