We used Shapehouse for our rear extension, kitchen fitting and new WC. We had to change the layout and interior design mid way through the project but the Shapehouse team were very flexible in working with us to achieve this.

We started the design process with Shape House in November of 2023, got planning permission at the first attempt in January 2024. The project started at the end of January and completed the first week in June of 2024. The work to our home consisted of a large wrap around extension which included a knock through from the original house at the rear and side to create an open plan space which features a large kitchen/diner. games room, study, utility and small storage at the front with garage doors. Having worked with builders in the past I was very pleased with the workers and management team which was overseen by Zak.

The quality of the work is exceptional but what pleased me the most was the consistency of the communication and how every week I was updated with progress and financial information. Shape House is a company that cares about their clients and the projects, this comes through with their passion for excellence. When I first contacted Shape House it was from a referral from my neighbour who had an excellent experience with them. I am happy to talk with any prospective client and give my feedback.

We contracted with Shapehouse for the renovation of our newly bought house and the construction of a kitchen extension, and we are extremely pleased with the process and result.

The overall process was very well-structured and efficient. There were regular meetings where we were informed about the progress and the weekly work schedule. Conor, our project manager, was very knowledgable and helpful throughout the project. He facilitated communication between us and the builders, and helped solve a lot of problems as quickly as possible, whenever they came up. Although we added some more tasks (e.g. replacing water pipes) as the project went on, the team adjusted the work schedule in an organised manner.

Working with the ShapeHouse team has been a real joy! I have moved several times over the years and have undergone lots of home improvements, extensions and refurbishments and everyone of them have been challenging to say the least. It came as a nice surprise that ShapeHouse are a genuine one stop shop which made the whole process very organised and simple. I have a Project Guide called Chantelle, a Contracts Manager called Zak along with an Interior Designer called Polly. The entire team communicate with each other and I was always kept informed of what was going on at any time.

The weekly payments meant that I never had to pay large amounts of money up front which gave me peace of mind. I changed my mind a few times which is normal but when I did it was never greeted with any problems and always discussed so i knew exactly what I wanted. The Site Foreman Tony was really helpful and always took his time to explain what was happening during the week. All decisions that I needed to make with some of the finishing items such as tiles and flooring took some time as I can be indecisive, but I never felt rushed which was a welcome relief from my previous experiences.

Now that the project is finished I can honestly say I am thrilled. The quality is excellent and although there were a couple of minor issues such as a light switch not working and the bi folding doors needing adjusting, these were resolved quickly.

I would recommend ShapeHouse to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, hard working and quality company to undertake a home renovation.

Great company to deal with and excellent people who really care for their clients. When I posted the ad on Bark i was literally inundated but Shape House stood out because of the consistency in communication. The Architects and design team are very thorough, and nothing is too much hassle for them. I have agreed costs for the build and once planning is through, we will be starting the build. I posted an advert on Bark in April looking for a construction team to work on my house whilst I was living abroad. I had plans and planning permission in place with a previous Architect. Shape House contacted me straight away and from there we discussed costs and how long the project would take.

I have been through a few builds before and I was expecting this one to be the same but it was not. Shape House are a very modern company and use good technology and communication methods which help to get decisions made fast. Payment systems are extremely fair with no large sums of money paid in advance.

I could only visit the UK 3 times during the build, but we had several zoom meetings which were always very productive. The staff including Lucy, Olivia, James, Colin, Chris and Nicole were great to work with and in truth I am very happy with my final build. More...

I’ve been working with shapehouse over the past 6 months renovating my house with a side return extension, a new bathroom and redesigning the ground floor.
