We can’t recommend Simon highly enough! He has been part of our journey from our engagement shoot to our wedding day and more recently our maternity shoot.
On each occasion he has made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera. He is such a lovely man who truly goes the extra mile.
Simon has a talent for capturing natural, authentic moments. Looking through our wedding photos, we can relive the day exactly as it was and feel like we are back there. Not a moment was missed!
He has also been amazing with our dog, involving her in every shoot and coming up with ideas to include her, which has meant so much to us.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
There is no one secret to taking a great photograph - it is so dependent on light, subjects, composition and background. But that doesn't mean it isn't possible. With my documentary style I am able to frame subjects how I want them with the light where it will provide the best illumination - then it is just a case of snapping at the precise moment to get a natural smile.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
For a wedding, I like to know a bit about the couple - where they met, how the proposal happened and why they chose their venue - this helps me to know how to document the next part of their story together. For family photography, I like to know why a place is special them and what they like to do when the visit there - this enables me to capture them at their most comfortable, the best way to take a natural photograph.
What do you love most about your job?
Sharing in people's adventures. I love connecting with people and becoming a part, however small, of their lives and ultimately providing photos that they will cherish for a lifetime. Seeing someone post one of my photos to their social media is hugely satisfying - I feel like I've been able to help them share their adventure with their family and friends.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have long had a passion for photography and the thought of making that my job was one I couldn't pass up. It started with wildlife, but transitioned into weddings, family and event photography as my interest and experience grew.
Why should our clients choose you?
This job allows me to combine my passion for photography with a love of sharing in people's adventures. I will go the extra mile to make sure I get the shots that count. I have a variety of packages to suit many different needs and budgets, and am always willing to help at any stage of the process. I aim to take photos that are natural and a true reflection of the day, so no heavy editing or photo-shopping, just an exquisite photo record of a wedding or event that will be cherished for years to come.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am more than happy to do virtual meetings, rather than face-to-face, if that is the clients preference. I have a wide variety of lenses that mean that if clients want me to stay socially distanced, I can still get in for the close-up!
