My experience of using Planet Doors LTD. Before reading please note this all started from March 2021! And only ended in August 2023! Ian came around to my house to give me a quote for new windows and a back door which would also be including a Fensa agreement ( extra £150 ) at the time of the deal ( March 2021 ) and that he stated he would get the council to come out immediately after the job was completed as his company is not Fensa registered this was all within the stated price and terms and conditions to which I was happy to proceed with. Planet doors fitters were both very polite and friendly throughout the whole fitting process so thank you to both the fitters for that. After fitting the windows and back door this is where the problems started, my old windows were left on my driveway for 2/4 weeks after the job was completed and it took numerous phone calls and texts with Ian for him to come out and collect them. ( unprofessional ) A few weeks after having the windows installed the back door glass cracked as to which Ian said it would be up to me to pay for as that would be my problem and I quote ‘it either comes out of your pocket or mine I am a business man’ one line was that quoted an awful lot throughout these interactions. The reason for the glass cracking was actually because it wasn’t strengthened glass ( no kite mark ) which was meant to be in there. when this was mentioned all of a sudden he then said he was willing to change it FREE of charge. Major turn around considering he was quoting me around £90 for a new piece of glass and was adamant the correct glass was installed. None the less for the next 2+ years I have been chasing a never ending amount of excuses for dodging the Fensa agreement even though I have text message stating it would get done and I quote. The price has gone up ( which it wouldn’t have done if you did it at the time of fitting the windows as agreed! ) Hospital appointments, picking someone up, on holiday, business isn’t doing well, I’m under a lot of stress, you name it I heard it. I even went as far as completing a complaint procedure letters as requested. In the end after countless phone calls and ignored texts message it was Ian saying I’m not arguing with you you’ve got two options either take the money back or something along the lines of waiting some more I genuinely can’t remember the reason given either way I finally gave up chase and requested my £150 I paid for the Fensa agreement as this was just a silly game of evasion and a stressful one at that. It also begs the question as to why he was so inclined at the time not to do as agreed I expected more from a ‘professional business man’ I have reported this company to trading standards as stated in the complaint letters I had to send in order for Ian to look at my complaints which I assume were just laughed at considering I never received the Fensa agreement after 2+ years. Unfortunately the lack of professionalism, accountability, ethics and integrity, when it comes to making the customer feel valued / satisfied lead me to not being able to recommend this business to anybody I know. Overall I feel this situation could have been handled in a manner of which satisfied both parties unfortunately that was not to be the case and therefor this review has been brought to light to provide others with an insight into my experience. Great experience with Planet Doors, thanks to Ian who came out and measured all the doors we required. Even custom made one door to match our others. High quality solid doors, professionally fitted as well. Really pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend for their customer service, quality of the products, wide range of styles and finishes. Never thought changing the doors would have such an impact on the look and feel of the house. 5 Stars More...

I bought four doors from these guys, the prices were really competitive (and I checked a LOT of other places lol) they were so patient with my indecisiveness and really took the time to help me decide. They personally delivered to my door (Free) and even carried them one by one from the next street as my road was closed when they arrived! I called them in a panic the day before my doors were being fitted as I’d forgotten to order some of the door handles and yet again they personally bought them to my house with no delivery charge. Genuinely haven’t had service this good from any company for a long time. I would 100% recommend these guys. Keep up the good work More...
