Gardening
Patch Cooperative did a fantastic job of landscaping our garden. From creating beautiful designs informed by our needs including a wildflower meadow, new terf, pond, herb spiral, and reclaimed brick path, to doing all of the work themselves with minimal use of fossil fuels, we were really impressed. Compared to the cost of getting patio down they were affordable and the end result is much nicer! More...

Patrick and Lucy did 2 days work for me last summer, including clearing a patio and building raised beds. They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and I'm very pleased with their work!

Gardening
A young woman came, her only tool was a trowel , and could only weed one flower bed. I showed her to use a lawnmower which was used to cut one small patch of grass. We have heard nothing from patch gardening since after promising they would contact us the following week. This is the third week . Not impressed More...

Lucy and Patrick worked incredibly hard and with real attention to detail. They are extremely enthusiastic about their work and pay close attention to detail. We would highly recommend them if you are looking for gardening services in York More...
What do you love most about your job?
I want to help as many people as possible make the most of their outdoor spaces and share them with our beautiful local wildlife - which needs our help now more than ever.
I am particularly interested in building and maintaining raised beds, to allow people to grow their own fresh organic fruit and vegetables. Growing your own food is so rewarding and also helps fight climate change!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have recently graduated from the University of York, where I was the president and founder of the Gardening Society. I lost my job because of Covid-19 but am taking this opportunity to pursue my passion: I absolutely love plants and nature and I want to help make York the greenest city in the UK!
Why should our clients choose you?
If there is any job that you need doing then drop me a message, no matter how small. Similarly, if you have a dream project that you want to chat about get in touch and let’s make it happen!
I only use environmentally friendly methods and never use pesticides or herbicides - just good old-fashioned hard work. I'm new to the business, but I'm looking to establish myself as a friendly, hardworking, and trustworthy face in the community.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
You can email or call me to chat about your garden project.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I always wear a mask and maintain safe social distancing when interacting with people. I can arrange to come at a time of your choice to minimise contact.
Garden Maintenance
From weeding and trimming hedges to cutting the grass and tidying up borders, I love making gardens look beautiful and tidy
Building raised beds and Edible Gardens
My biggest passion is for helping people grow their own food at home!
Garden Design
Does your garden need some love and attention? During Covid many of us have turned to our gardens to escape the indoors, and this had led to a new appreciation for our green spaces. Make 2021 the year you turn your garden into a paradise for your family and local wildlife!
