Outstanding service and support. I called Gareth due to a rat problem in my garden . Rats were out feeding in broad daylight. There were quite a high number of rats. Gareth was extremely responsive and came out very quickly to provide an assessment. Thankfully, they were not nesting in my garden but he did require a number of visits to try and resolve the problem. He has caught seven rats in total. ! Absolutely recommend Gareth at Peacocks Pest Control. Truly knowledgeable and competent, and with his advice I was not required to use pest control at all. I really appreciated the honesty and competence from him even though this would lead to no need for his services. What happened was I saw a couple of cockroaches upon delivery of a furniture. I was truly distressed. Googled and researched and the fear and panic just grew. Instead of trying to deal with it myself with shop bought products I decided I needed a professional. The difference of Gareth in Peacock Pest Control was that instead of just quoting and booking - he asked for a photo of the insect first. With the photo he identified it was a harmless garden variety that are not interested in our food or house and just need grass to survive. He said they will disappear on their own and I do not need any pest control or baits around. I never knew we could have these types of harmless cockroaches. It was a huge relief to hear. It was true - one week later I see nothing in my house without any products. I put many sticky traps there was not one with anything it it. Exceptional expertise and service. I called Gareth to help with problem rats in my garden ( I love feeding birds)! Gareth was instantly responsive and came immediately to assess. What he doesn’t know about rats could be written on a very small postage stamp. He identified the problem quickly , set traps and sent a comprehensive report. I would highly recommend Peacocks pest control. I contacted Gareth unsure if we had a rat or mouse problem. Gareth asked a few questions and said he thought it was a rat. He came out the next day and was very polite, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He checked all the manhole covers and explained he thought we had a single young male rat. He ordered a rat blocker and set several traps behind the kicker board. He arranged to come back a couple of days later to fit the part. In the meantime he said to contact him with any issues. He came out fitted the rat blocker explained how it worked and tested it. He checked the traps and left. Next morning there was a rat in the trap. I contacted Gareth and he came out to remove it within the hour. Gareth explained all of the costs from the offset and only invoiced once the rat was caught. All in all a very professional service. I would highly recommend Peacocks Pest Control. Having found several of 2 different types of cockroaches in our house over 2 years, I wanted advice as to if it was an infestation or if they had simply crawled in from outside. The first company I called immediatly told me they don't live outside and said I needed to pay £160 for them to come out and assess and put poison down. However when I spoke with Peacocks they asked for photos and identified they were species that live in gardens so no action required apart from cutting bushes back myself. Gareth from PPC attended my neighbours house late evening due to wasp nests needing removal. He was able to help us with a nest in a very hard to reach location by my shower vent, which meant wasps constantly came in via this vent to the shower room. With the right extra long reach equipment he sprayed the nest and was very professional and explained what he was doing and that if they should return, he would repeat the process and that was all covered in the price. What do you love most about your job?
I'm really passionate about helping people tackle their pest problems. My biology background gives me a solid understanding of pests – why they do what they do and why they're turning up in homes. Professionally, I've focused on difficult infestations, able to find that which others miss, and I still love the detective work of figuring out exactly what's going on. I get job satisfaction knowing a customer's pest issue is sorted long term.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I felt there was few pest control companies offering high quality work at a fair price. For this reason I opened my own business.
Why should our clients choose you?
We provide the highest standards in pest control. We follow industry guidelines by the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) and Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU). We seek to find the entry points in where pests are entering our customers home. That way we prevent reinfestation. Our goal at Peacocks Pest Control is that to provide such a high standard of pest control, that customers no longer require our serviced.

Rats can be very difficult pest to deal with as they tend to avoid traps and bait. At Peacocks we specialise in finding the holes they enter your property through and sealing them, preventing reinfeststion.
We also use novel trapping methods with higher success rates than rodenticide.
