For safety reasons I needed the house/garden boundary wall demolished and rebuilt. I approached Laura and Gavin of Paradigm to look at the work and give me a price. Following survey and discussions we agreed the scope and price for the work. Due to bad weather and Christmas and New Year break, the work was started in earnest in the New Year. The work then proceeded quickly. The brickwork and organisation was excellent, with only spells of bad weather causing delays. Following completion of the wall, the site was cleared, levelled and grass planted. It has enhanced the appearance of the house/garden and received many plaudits from neighbours and passers-bys. How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
If your existing garage is constructed from brick or solid concrete blocks it is suitable for a garage conversion.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
After an initial design consultation we will produce a scale sketch detailing the layout and construction details. We will assess your existing garage for suitability and asbestos before undertaking a strip out. New windows and doors can be installed along with 1st fix electrical and any plumbing and heating. The garage will be fully insulated including walls, roof space and floor, then plasterboard and plaster finish. New flooring, 2nd fix electrical and plumbing, skirting, doors, architraves and decoration to complete. Usually the floor height will be increased to allow for installation, damp proof membrane and screed.
What’s your interior design process?
After an initial design consultation with Gavin, we would discuss and explore all space and design options to achieve the client brief, thinking outside of the box and with a greater vision to produce a sketch to scale of the new layout for a simple project. More technical or larger projects will be complemented by computer aided design (CAD) drawings and the input from our interior architect Julia, where space planning is at the heart of what she does.

All styles from traditional to contemporary with the flair and vision to blend the two together to form spaces with flow and are pleasing on the eye.

We have a wealth of experience in the building industry our tradesmen are time served with well over a century of learning and crafting their trades.
For the past 6 years we have worked together as a team and have become sought after having delivered high end six figure projects as well as more intimate projects like garden rooms, resin driveways, garden walls, patios and internal work like bathrooms and renovations. We work with like minded clients with smaller and larger budgets but what the they have in common is they seek quality and reliability. We have previously been a board member of the Federation of Master Builders Cymru.
What guarantee does your work come with?
All our work comes with a 6 year guarantee in line with building regulations and some covered by a 10 year guarantee like our windows and doors.

The dream to be able to design and build something amazing by for someone, getting to know what they love in life and making it a reality with our family oriented team of passionate, good, honest people that care about what they do and create, being able to orchestrate that is the reason I started in business.
