How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Most gagrges would require the walls to be upgraded to meet building regulations regarding thermal properties.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
An initial site visit to carry out an initial survey and to ascertain the clients needs. This will be followed up by an initial set of existing and proposed floor plans as well as elevations. If the client is happy with the proposals these can then be forwarded on to the relevant planning department and building regulations department for approval. Once approvals have been received construction work can then begin on site.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
As a general rule of thumb 2 m is the minimum height requirement from underside of ridge to the top of the joist.
