Been here several times now, food has always been great. The egg royal with avocado is very delicious and fresh. Normally very busy so you may need to wait to be seated if eating in.

I’ve been here a handful of times now, and the coffee/matcha latte are fantastic, staff is friendly, food is great, and overall it has the perfect cafe ambiance. Would definitely recommend!

According to feedback comments, a coffee shop we came to does not deserve these stars unfortunately. A rude and disrespectful team leader, should be respectful and smiling when taking orders, a messy attitude as if he is dismissing people, a cocky look is very disturbing, a stale lemon cake was also a disappointment, we sat at the table outside, another customer ate something outside and got up from the table, the next customer waited at the table for 10-15 minutes, the table was not cleaned and she got up and left, a disappointment a group of unhappy people with a service

It's not difficult to make a nice coffee, they seem to burn it, very bitter. Opera must improve, or more people will complain and go elsewhere.

EDIT: My friend and I went to Opera today. We went to get some iced coffees, but unfortunately we had the worst time. There was a person behind the till with short glasses and glasses, who was clearly quite stressed out by the queue. My friend and I were patient, and waited about 5 minutes before being served - this person was just rude, and also got our orders wrong. My friend ordered a biscoff iced latte but the coffee was overwhelming with hardly any of the biscoff flavour, and I ordered an iced Americano with vanilla and the vanilla was missing. The line was also out of the door so it would’ve meant another 15 minute wait to just have the ordered fixed. I’m so disappointed with this place, ever since new staff have joined, there’s been issues. EDIT: The cinnamon rolls are stunning! They have plain, chocolate or pistachio. Because they’re so popular, it’s hard to get your hands on one. The only issue I have is that the buns can sometimes be a bit burnt - but if you like a tiny bit of a bitter taste with sweet, this would be perfect as it’s the glaze they use gets burnt. I’m yet to get one that hot and fresh (since I always get one after class) but so far, each time I’ve come to this cafe to get one I’ve left happy! I had salmon and poached eggs for brunch which was very delicious, the outdoor area at the back is cozy and nice. I also pass by for coffee often, the oat latte is great but service is slower than other takeaway coffee places.

Opera is one of the many small coffee corners in Oxford but not just another one. It is on 31 Walton St, for instance on the way to The Blavatnik School of Goverment. The staff is super nice and accommadative, always trying to improve, and they have the right espresso machine, the good old La Marzocco Classic. On the menu a great variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads. With a mixed crowd of students, locals, tourists and the add business people.
