What’s your interior design process?
Our initial consultation would be where we discuss your requirements and budget, we go into a little bit of the detail so that I can draw up a Design Fee proposal document which includes an overview of the project and my fee for this. If happy, we then take it to the next stage where both parties sign a contract of works around the Design Fee proposal and a segment of the fee is paid upfront to secure using my services.
Following this process, we set up another consultation where we dive into the detail of the project so I can understand your full requirements and ask more poignant questions.
Depending on your requirements, if it were a full home design, I would then work on an initial concepts document to present to you where we would discuss my initial ideas and make sure we are both on the right page before I move into the full design stage.
Once the full design was completed, we would then meet again for myself to present this to you using an online presentation and you would also receive an itemized costings spreadsheet with a list of the items and their specific webpage or a trade invoice from my preferred supplier for you to receive my trade discount.

What inspired you to start your own business?
The freedom to be our own bosses, to work around my family life and to have the autonomy to follow our own design process rather than sticking to one type of design. We love the freedom of choice this gives us when designing for our clients.

Interior Design
Natalie Roukin Interiors provides a complete, personalised Interior Design service tailored to your individual needs. The size and scale of the work is not primary, most important is to listen carefully to your brief to create an inspiring interior that suits not only your space, but also your lifestyle.
I like to work closely with clients to combine my expertise with their ideas and budgets. Practicality is paramount, from incorporating storage solutions during the initial design phase to providing any follow-up design maintenance once the project is complete. I can fully manage each project from concept through to supply and installation using a team of trusted trades people, curtain makers and fitters who I work alongside regularly to create a seamless finished result.
It is a truly collaborative process between myself and my clients and one that requires us to work together to tease out their vision for their home and make it one they can be proud of!
Online Design Board / Initial Concept Board
A Design board or Initial Concepts will provide you with a visual montage or series of images of the initial design concept to include colour palette, wall and window treatments, lighting styles, ideas for room settings and some accessories. This is an important part of the Interior Design process as it portrays an initial look and feel for the space. Quite a few clients use this service as a stand alone product enabling them to modernise a room in their home whilst still incorporating some of the current fixtures and fittings.
Interior Space Planning
Space planning is one of the most important aspects of interior design and can have a very strong impact on the success of a room. This service can be very useful if you are struggling on how to furnish an unusually shaped room or you are having a new extension and want to visualize how the space will work. I will provide an initial consultation in your home where we discuss your specific requirements, I will take measurements of each space, including its contents. From here I will produce a floorplan to scale outlining the most appropriate positioning of furniture and accessories to help you achieve a well balanced, efficient, comfortable space.
Colour and Style Consultation
If you’re are feeling a little overwhelmed by the vast choices of paints, wallpapers and fabrics then this service would be perfect for you. After an initial consultation in the comfort of your own home where we discuss your likes and dislikes and see your specific lighting conditions, I will design a scheme based on a combination of your personal preferences and the colours most appropriate to the features and personality of your home. I will provide colour and wallpaper samples and recommended paint finishes for each surface within the design, along with a sample pot of each of the recommended colours. Each room will be considered individually providing a cohesive colour scheme throughout to create an individual and stunning home.
Furniture and Built-in Storage Design
Everyone needs storage, usually the more the better, but sometimes trying to fit everything in can be a real challenge. I can help you maximise the use of the space you have whether it be turning an alcove into a small home office area or creating a wall of storage to hide away toys or display books, I can help you by planning and designing storage solutions that fit the space perfectly and fight the clutter. My fee for designing built in storage will be depend on the clients specific requirements.
Furniture, Soft Furnishings and Accessory Recommendations
Choosing the right furniture for any room is not only a crucial part of design but the space will not service its intended purpose if pieces of furniture are not the right size or in the wrong position. One of the biggest decorating mistakes that homeowners make is choosing furniture that does not fit the scale of the room which can be a very costly mistake. Another element of design is soft furnishings and home accessories. These can completely change the feel and look of any room and are an important part of the room feeling finished and harmonious.
